  1. Another vote here for poor service from LR Series, and we live in the EU however their site is handy for getting landrover part numbers
  2. I am at present upgrading the brakes on my 1989 110 to vented front disks, I have already upgraded the rears to disks, I was wondering if the master cylinders on the later trucks which had these brakes fitted as standard had a larger capacity master cylinder?
  3. Hi all a friend has an early 90 with a 200tdi fitted, last week the transfer box started popping out of gear, and with a bit of a struggle would go back in , however over the weekend it stopped working altogether, I was wondering is there adjustment on the transfer box lever and could this be the problem? As the truck is about 3 hours driving away from me I havent seen it yet, what do you reckon, adjust lever, or is it a transfer box out jobbie? Thanks
  4. Stopped using cedit card on the internet a couple of years ago , use 3v for all small to medium purchases, even if to number is stolen the max that can be nicked is 300 euro.
  5. Its worth putting in a good box as the misery of having to take out a gearbox again because of an issue with it be it recon/2nd hand is a killer, learned this lesson years ago and now if funds permit fit and forget an Ashcroft unit.
  6. Sympathise with you as I have just finished fitting a new xmember and floor to our Range rover, A bit of a misery of a job really, I had to use a sheet of 1/8 steel as all around the sides of my floor were gone too, make sure your rear doors close properly before you weld anything up permanently. Best of luck Rusty Rangie
  7. D'oah Vince you on holidays or something?
  8. Thanks bishbosh very much, loads of nice things to look at as well
  9. Hi all, I got a smiths oil temp gauge from an old range rover, but the sender unit along with the engine were long gone. I tried a few water temp senders I had around (2.5 n/a 200 tdi, ) but when testing them with boiling water they all read high (140 C) which is as far as the gauge goes. I was wonderig if there is a specific sender for this gauge and would anyone have the number handy? Thanks K
  10. I have welded them with a 29\9 welding rod with no problems just make sure the shaft and drive hub as square to each other.
  11. We fit the hydraulic pump on the engine where the aircon goes, using an electric clutch assembly to activate it, the tank can be stowed aft and piped to the pump

  15. We do the same using a 12v fuelflo inline pump, we also add an inline fuel filter as well which also adds to the reliability
  16. I agree, when we bought a truck last year the guy selling it threw in a set of door hinges from Britpart, when we went to fit them they were worse that the ones on the landrover.

  22. Hi I am using a 6 cylinder 4.2 tdi engine with 500Nm output, it came from M&D with the 10.5 inch clutch, it works fine for normal road work, but start spinning wheels in mud and the clutch starts to slip and burn, I am sure audi never envisioned that engine trying to spin wheels in deep mud
  23. Not really it was stuck on in a hurry one weekend, its an early 90 roof trimmed to fit a 110 tub. its just screwed on at the moment, would be better with a few hinges and gas dampers though, but as it stands its secure and keeps the rear tub clean and as dry as a leaky hardtop.
