  1. I'd be happy with those prices.... Here in FR it is even worse. Like everybody said, preparation is everything.... The sanding etc. takes ages.... The Mrs. did the 110. .... and she will have to do the Series next year....
  2. Useful info - thanks Is there a page missing - there seem to be 4 of them.. This is what our engraved one looks like
  3. I'm in the process of getting something made to get a standard 200 Tdi airfilter element filter with a RAI and a cage..
  4. Interesting project after a rather unfortunate incident. Metal things have been mentioned. The DII Engine ECU needs input from the DII BCU - you may want to try and find a Defender version to make it easier. (P.S. Does that DII have cruise Control ? Looking for the switches....)
  5. Goed Gedaan !! I have just 2 buttons.....
  6. Not sure what you mean by "I don’t think many people realise the implications of EU regulations on the total Grenadier factory output" ? The EU is not deciding in a country if a vehicle is "commercial" or not. Up to the member states what is or what isn't and how. But in general, I have found the whole Ineos sales people to be total ....
  7. Interesting... How did the replacement of that chassis 1/4 go ?
  8. Pity Mr. Gray is not back here
  9. Welcome to the Madhouse. Obviously we'd like to see some pictures.. Doe you have paperwork with the vehicle ? What does the VIN plate say ? Has the vehicle been imported into the UK yet ?
  10. Very tidy vehicle ! Well Done - looking forward to a build tread. To overcome a problem like this we have used a VDO programmable speedo in the past. Run a measured mile and that's it - accurate. Change tires and reset the thing. Sounds like a duff SH... Bon Courage !
  11. "Irritatingly, the situation in Europe is much simpler, as the vehicle classification is slightly broader" Not sure what you mean as each country on the Continent has it's own idea about what is commercial and what's not. In both Holland and France, it is not likely the Grenadier will be classed as a "van" and this makes it a play thing for the real seriously rich... Commercial users will be few and very far apart. Just like the "new Defender"
  12. Going up to Jaffrau is a long and winding track : Be advised the weather up there, as in most mountain areas, can change in minutes from beautiful Summer 35 C + tot freezing hail in clouds. We have assisted more than a few walkers and cyclists over the years that were in deep sh. t. Also, it can be very busy with traffic and at times the tracks will be closed. Go and visit campibg Gran Bosco in the valley as they have good info.
  13. Be very careful with the routes you find online... Majority of people don't give a r..s a.. about legality as they drive them once and usu. never come back. Also, many tracks are closed "par ordere" by the Prefecture, not to mention land slides and the likes. Also, at the moment there is a lot closed due to the extreme weather. Local info is best. Enjoy !
  14. Looks neat. Wonder what it will weight once you've finished it...
  15. Fascinating to see a Master showing hos skills
  16. Where about in the UK are you located please ?
  17. Thanks. Need to take a party out this weekend for some serious Greenlaning and all that..
