TimR
Can someone please tell me where I can get some replacement fluid to fill up my rear lights? I have just taken mine off to clean the connectors and it all ran out...

Mo Murphy
You can use headlamp fluid without any problems. Don't fill them with wiring smoke though, they won't work. HTH Mo
Les Henson
If you have clear lense indicators with the orange bulbs, then headlamp fluid won't work as headlamp fluid is clear. Headlamp/sidelight/reverse/number plate fluid is the same P/No, as are tail/stop and rear fog lamp fluid. Early model indicators can use the same fluid as headlamp, etc, but later models need the correct orange fluid. Les
sgnas
If you have a TD5 you need nanocom or a trip to the dealers to reset the ECU with the new fluid code. On the Puma model you need Landrover special tool LRS4587 to relieve the pressure while filling to prevent airlocks in the system.
Eightpot
I have some genuine fluid from an ex MOD Wolf I can sell you, only £79 a bottle. B)
Anderzander
I believe you can refill them yourself with 'tears of frustration' - I'm sure someone will have some spare if you don't have any at the moment?
poohbear
Can anybody tell me where the filter is as my fluid seems to be contaminated and could do with a change. Dave.

Mo Murphy
That'll be fine Tim but you'll need to add rear light concentrate to make the fluid effective. Mo
Dave W
Tim, I think that's the old part number, there's a one shot version available now, you'd be forgiven for thinking it looks like thick muddy water but when it gets warm it thins out and has the advantage that it won't leak out of the light seals when cold. santalars
Don't use the B**tpart replacement fluid. I had quality issues with that before.
Soren Frimodt
Always remember that side indicators use a different fluid. This is specially designed to help corrosion of the fender
dantd5
I am wondering if this is the Fluide-de-la-FOOTWELLS? Someone used it before?
Soren Frimodt
Well it's a common problem.. People tend to overfill the side indicators, and then the fluid runs inside the fenders and down into the footwell
santalars
Just heard that y-eng are working on a haevy duty fluid. However at first there will be the TD5 version available only while the 200 and 300tdi version will follow later.
sparg
You can use headlamp fluid without any problems. Don't fill them with wiring smoke though, they won't work.HTH Mo No, it's when the smoke escapes that they stop working
gazelle
I would be careful with this. I suspect that it is a fake. The fluid is far to clear to be found in a Land Rover light!
Anderzander
I heard that the Army guys, as an in field repair, would urinate in theirs to replace it ..... works well on the indicators but not so good on the headlights.

Guest otchie1
I have some original Series 2 fluid that I just drained out, still clear as maiden's water even after 50 years. Offers before it goes on Ebay?
