I have certainly suffered with that in the past!!

pat_pending
Has anyone mentioned headlinings or door check straps on Defenders?
ToyRoverlander
Window winders on Defenders... If you're tall you can't get to them without reaching underneath your knee and try to turn the damn thing while trying to keep your leg out of the way. Which isn't easy when it's jammed between the door and the steering wheel
landroversforever
I prefer my window winders on the 90, to the Pug... those have no room for my large hands to wind them . Bad bit of design... not have auto defenders from the factory other than the limited editions.
JeffR
110 fuel tanks and their attending fixtures and fittings. Windscreen washers that freeze up in positive temperatures The absolutley vast range of seatbelt bracket combination/permutations fitted by the factory The bloody angle of the windscreen that causes you to see another person in your vehicle, t9ill you realise thats it is actually your own reflection HEATERS in Defenders BUT the best bit designed for a Landrover is the Disco 1 interior light that still functions when filled with water from the leaking sunroof
discomikey
has anyone mentioned 100" vehicles boot floors? and that swear filter is pretty funny

discomikey
i tell you what they did design well, the thermostat top hose housing and hose off a 2.25 petrol fits perfectly with a 200TDI and series radiator the bottom pipe can be made neatly, and the intercooler just about fits at an angle to one side of the radiator. tasty
ToyRoverlander
Or what I fount out on a 300Tdi range rover when I was filling the cooling system. Manual stated to undo that plastic thing on top of the thermostat housing and fill it up, after that fill up the header tank. All good and well, just too bad the header tank was nearly overflowing before the thermostat housing was topped up . Header tanks sits lower than that housing..... weird stuff... elbekko
Yeah, that's a pain. At one point even unbolted the header tank just to make sure it had bled properly...
discomikey
the design meaning that you have to lie under what youre welding on a chassis. = lots of dots on my chest even though i was lying to one side as far as i could.

western
...and what about the pedal spring on a TD5 - a bit strong or what?! Does not do my back or sciatica any good at all!!!! you can change that for the easier to use over centre spring as fitted to the 300tdi vehicles, see page 477 of the 110 parts book
JeffR
Those wretched little countersunk sel tappers that hold the window channels in place on defender doors, now they really are my pet hate...
