Nigelw
There's a pimp in Hammersmith or Dagenham that is probably looking all over ASDA's carpark for his motor.
Dan110
Although after looking at this, it ALMOST looks pretty https://uk.news.yahoo.com/dedicated-car-fan-spends-five-years-turning-£100-ford-granada-into-£1m-zonda-supercar-replica-114632640.html?vp=1#44MFptb
stuck
"Amazingly, Nick got to work on his replica despite never having seen a Zonda in real life. He used a die-cast model and pictures from the internet to guide him instead." I can only assume he was s#it faced on absinthe whilst looking at both. robertspark
Good to see he kept the registration plate and original vehicle identity .... Sliced top of finger off in turbo which then came out of exhaust pipe...
stuck
Sliced top of finger off in turbo which then came out of exhaust pipe... I missed that!
Anderzander
The picture with the caption 'attention to details' - is the one that shows the wrinkles in the dash ?
Shackleton
Well fair play to him, time spent having fun is time well spent, but I could have sworn the next words out of his mouth after "...and I just started cutting up bits of..." were going to be "...newspaper, and gluing them together with wall paper paste." Escape
http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201411118907419/sort/default/usedcars/model/range_rover/make/land_rover/page/4/radius/50/postcode/bb33pa/onesearchad/used%2Cnearlynew%2Cnew/quicksearch/true/price-to/15000/price-from/10000?logcode=p It would look much nicer in pink. pete3000
Can you take it out in the rain or does the pva melt?. It looks like he subbed most of the craftsmanship to clarkson (jeremy). Fair dos though, for having a go. With the wheels it must be worth at least £200 now?. At least if it blows up again with a piece of plywood screwed across the roof he would still have a coffee table.
robertspark
No, fair do's to the fella, he spent a lot of time, and ended up with what he wanted (wish I would!!!) It was more the write up for me, how do you slice the top of your finger off on a turbocharger.... presumably the intake side.... then end up with it coming out of the exhaust after presumably going through the intercooler (if ones fitted), through the combustion chamber, through the exhaust side of the turbo charger, silencer boxes.... and out the exhaust.... + from some of the discussions on here about retaining registration plates.... there cannot be much of the original vehicle left, and considering it was a monoque chassis.... (hopefully his dream was based on a space frame and not a chopped monoque) I'm overthinking the problem again. Rob

miketomcat
If he has kept the whole floor pan including suspension mounts, complete with all the running gear then he may keep the registration but he would be pushing it to the limit. They normally prefer you to just change panels like the mx250 conversion. Mike
Anderzander
The zonda chap posted on piston heads about his car - seeks he emailed zonda and asked if they had any 2nds ? http://www.pistonheads.com/Gassing/topic.asp?h=0&f=23&t=761418&i=160&mid=0&nmt=Zonda+Replica
