duncmc Posted June 13, 2013 Share Posted June 13, 2013 On my Range Rover Classic, I have the usual paint bubbling and white aluminium corrosion mainly at the bottom of the doors. I know it needs sanding, ideally media blasting and then repainting. I also know it needs chemically treating before the paint to help prevent the corrosion returning. It could be symptom of corrosion between door skin and frame?Only light oil seems to penetrate and slow it up? splandrovers Posted July 2, 2013 Share Posted July 2, 2013 There is a firm who do a galvanised rear door frame with a aluminium skin that is bonded together with marine bonding to avoid rubbing between the surfaces of the frame & skin & thus reduce corrosion.
