  1. my current project - just waiting for the new drag link to arrive, and then tap tap tap with my fingers crossed.
  2. Longer shocks wouldn't be needed with you having standard length springs - longer shocks are used just to give more travel. However firmer shocks would eliminate more bounce. I'm not familiar with Britpart shocks but it sounds like they are too soft for you....
  3. I bought an ex utilities H14 winch, bumper, hydraulic pto, spool valves, morse lever, tank, extra hydraulics take off etc etc for £400 ... I have seen them on ebay since too. Sometimes the Defender Centre in stourbridge have them for sale. They sell ex utilities 110's and sometimes remove the winch set ups. Only draw back with fitting the above to a td5 is you need to relocate the ECU to mount the tank there. Not a massive job but a bit fiddly. Here's a link to the defender centre:
  4. I thought the main role of them was to protect your steering box.
  5. That seems a very good price - where was that from?
  6. Thanks Everyone The arm will be coming off a very very low mileage box - so I'm hoping it wont be messed with or too seized. Fatboy: Someone pm'd me and is send me one, so I think I'm sorted now.
  7. Thank you guys! If anyone has a spare disco arm they'd be willing to part with please let me know.
  8. Just how hard is it to remove a steering arm from a 4 bolt steering box? I've been told its a nightmare of a job ..... Is it something I'd need a puller for? or is it one where its best to take it somewhere? I want to swap a swan neck one for the straight discovery type.
  9. HoFS posted this a while back .... just shows what can be done with a few bodies!
  10. She's a pleasant interlude :-)
  11. Mine has been fantastic too - only down side is the pad rattles. There are instructions for backing the pad with silicone to stop it - but I haven't round to taking it apart again and doing it. Might be worth doing it before you fit it?
  12. I guess that depends on how big the role of advertising is with the t-shirts.
  13. I'd be happy with just the logo. on a dark blue t-shirt - so it matches the forum identity we already have. Simple and no nonsense - just like this forum.
  14. I think I'm scared of the price but my dip switch is worn and keeps slipping out of high beam..
  15. I've took my back one off - and hope to take the front one off tomorrow... then maybe drill the bushes! :-) Here's a gratuitous picture of the back:
  16. Do a search Landy pc - there has been a lot said about this on here already.
  17. Are you talking about clocking the turbo? Its just a clip in the back to do that and then drill and tap it in the new position to mount the bracket.
  18. The mechanism on mine bent a little and its a bit of a nightmare. I've done my best to straighten it by pulling the top of the dash off - but it still won't hold the vent open against the wind when driving - and despite the vent appearing to close fully I am now getting a stream of cold air from it that freezes my left knee... So be careful as they are very difficult to straighten out in situ.
  19. Did you use the Britpart MAF you bought or did you buy another one?
  20. I think I'll try disconnecting mine and see if it makes a difference. I drover a friends Td5 the other day and it picks up much quicker than mine. Only other difference is that he has removed the EGR - but I'd be surprised if that made such a noticeable difference...?
