Eating my breakfast cereal this morning I couldn't help but notice the growing pool of milk coming from my bowl and slowly making its way across the table, closer inspection revealed a large crack in the side of said bowl. When I went to make a pot of tea I couldn't help but notice the large chip out of the handle too. I wonder if I will discover any further damaged crockery now that the Mother in law has gone home

Very sorry to hear your news. For the person involved if there is such a thing as a good way to go then without warning has to be one of the better ones - even it is one of the hardest to cope with for those left behind. My condolences.

I'd check the obvious things before expecting the worse. Take a look at the propshaft uj's, diff / transmission oil levels, hub bearings, suspension bushes etc, etc.

I've had a couple of Dell systems and in general they and their backup have been good. I just can't get my head around the £50 delivery bit for a laptop though

SWMBO is looking for a new laptop, a basic system will do, nothing fancy bit a wireless card would be good. She's been looking at the Dell Inspiron 1300 which Dell say they are offering for £249 using their current MMMUK4-N04131A E-Value Code offer. However even without an additional £30 for a wireless card they are still looking for an additional £51.00 for delivery (+ VAT etc). I'm damned if I can understand how can they justify fifty quid for delivery? Anyway, does anyone have a recommendation for a decent base system / supplier?

I had to carry out an XP system restore last night and although my data files have survived intact I've lost all my Firefox bookmarks and Thunderbird e-mail and account settings Is there any way of retreiving same?

Been using Ebay since '97 and apart from the odd idiot seller & bidder and the awful customer support it's been fine.
