  1. Does anyone know the date or month/year the 90 was launched? I'm sure it was 1984.....but not sure when in the year. Cheers, Rich
  2. Yep. Band G came in 23rd March 06, so 06 plate onwards will get hit. Compared to an old Defender the road tax is going to cost more than the insurance and tax in some circumstances.
  3. James, can you put me down. If the orange one goes I'll still compete in the red one. Rich
  4. Whats wrong with white ? Stays nice and cool in the summer. I have a white 110 CSW, blends in nicely with the fleet of minibusses at work. Do metallic keep more value with defenders? Cost hundeds more new for metal flakey paint. Rich
  5. That is just plain awful. But they do say there is one born every minute..... maybe that's what the seller is counting on.
  6. I sold mine two years ago with the roofrack , spare wheel carrier and twin jerry can holder for £600. It was a year old and practically as new. Rich
  7. I just fitted the back ones, very happy with the look. Did it two years ago. Did not change the front as they seemed a bit bulbous. Just my person opinion. They are MUCH brighter than old knackered LR ones. When you do the back the top ones need the holes moved inboard slightly otherwise the surrounds can stand proud of the bodywork. Rich
  8. Well done Dom and Lee. Thanks for the picture of the trophy. Rich
  9. Following a trend....... Front portal lower swivel has just sprung a nice leak. I wouldn't mind, but I only used it to pop to ASDA's for some shopping. (the cage makes it trolley proof ) And the winches are not sorted either. So I won't be there either. Rich
  10. Mine are carbon neutral thanks to having some trees.
  11. I think odd is an understatement.
  12. In my case...... The axles alone came up (cheap) and I really like the dimensions/look of a 90 pick up. The pic below shows how much of a difference they make. Now I've twisted the front axle a few degrees the drag link is tucked up and not so vulnerable. Rich
  13. Nice to see you. It's also nice to see that LR people still help each other out. Outside of our hobby it's not that common. Rich
  14. The problem is peoples opinions vary wildly. I asked about my 1994 origional 300TDi with full cage, twin lockers, twin winches and loads of other extras and one suggestion was 5 or 6k !!! Then somebody else thought 10k. Really it comes down to what the buyer thinks it's worth because somebody will always tell you they could have got one cheaper.... after you've bought it. Funnily they can rarely produce the goods before you buy. Rich
  15. They are messing around with new regs for minibusses too. Heaven forbid they leave a system alone that works.
  16. I will be if I can get my winches sorted how I want them. Don't think Georgy will be as we are going through a divorce. But I've got a co-driver who is need of more experiance, so I'm set if the car's done. Yes, of course I remember you guys. Rich
  17. Good luck to them, it already looks better than the tiny LRO one.
  18. I havn't used LRO for ages, seeing what the posts are like I remember why. And as for the LRO admin posting here to get back the members....
  19. Viscous fan spanner and a hammer, then shock it off. Oh, and the thread goes the other way to normal. I've known many people who forget this and tighten it up. Rich
  20. The tops are nearly all over priced, because they don't want you making your own snorkle and just buying the top. The cheapest safari ones I've come across are £45 , but that was a year ago. Richard
  21. I was going to ask why you were wrapping presents in the 90, but thought that may be a bit......
  22. As Lardy said earlier, we all get told the rules and accept them. There is nothing to stop us bringing tape etc.. to reinforce the holes if we really want to. Of course, it's easy for me to say as I've never had one come off......... Rich
