  4. Do you know Robinson Crusoe ? He knew a chap called Friday Welcome to LR4X4 Mo
  5. Gez's arms are 6mm wall thickness and the welds are Tig root and Mig capping. Much niceness. I have some and recommend them Mo
  6. I also agree with twosheds and Lara, I tried it for about 2 months and had nothing but hassle. Grab yourself a cheap little runaround and accept that it's going to cost you for two lots of everything Mo
  7. OK, cut out the middle man, change the bulkhead for the new one before the Mot ? Mo
  8. I'd weld them in philbert, and do the job properly. Mo
  9. On this particular subject (welding) I would imagine that Mr. Wightman probably knows more than most I sometimes find it difficult to understand why people bother answering a post, talk rubbish and then at the end of it put "but I don't really know much about it". Where's the point ? It only serves to confuse the original poster. You should only answer a post if and only if you know what you are talking about. As for Paul not taking the forum seriously, well a little levity now and again is a good thing and Paul's positive input into the forum far outweighs his lighthearted (no pun intended ) posts. Poor Will Mo
  10. Jamie, you are a style criminal for simply having to ask Mo
  11. Martin, I would post about this problem on as many forums as you can to make people aware of their shoddy work, then I'd email the rebuilders a link to each forum. Mo
  12. Sadly missed, they went great with a V8 in the days when I could afford to run one Mo
  13. Back to McDonald with the engine, methinks. Don't waste your time and money resolving their problem for them. Mo
  14. I don't think Jim is going to the Lakes until the middle of November. Mo
  15. They're lovely Ali, although you may need to take steps to avoid the worm drive Mo
  16. Nice one Steve I'm happy for Steve to pick up mine Puggers, just remember it's 110' not 100'
  17. Mine cost a tenner from Wickes last year, drills nice and slow Mo
  18. Another vote for pocketplus here and their backup software is good too Mo
  19. You need one of these probably. Fixed it everytime for me and a darn sight cheaper than an alternator Mo
  20. What version of tomtom are you using Doddel ? If you are using the old version 3, the tomtom programmes is reluctant to share the gps with another programme. If it's the new Ipaq 5935 all-in-one, we had trouble with Les Henson's one and couldn't get MM to read the satellites and then lost the tomtom's ability to find satellites too . It needed 3 sets of port settings and no combination of them could be made to work. Internet searches turned up a couple of sets of port settings but neither worked for Les' 5935. Do let us know how you get on Mo
