  1. does anyone have the part no of the wiring loom in the wings of a td5 defender?
  2. personally, i would speak to pete @ Bell Auto Services he supplied me with a vnt turbo & remapped my ecu to suit A the turbo & B it being used as a challenge car, its in fair bonkers, first time i drove it after fitting the turbo & ecu i came aparent i could spin 37's on dry tarmac, would have no hesitation in using pete for more tuning, Or you could speak to ian @ IRB, he can do the same etc for your td5 but in the end i went for BAS
  3. i see that LR4x4 got a mention in of the recent magazines which strangly enough featured this vehicle & also gave a bit of its history,
  4. depends on where abouts you are, we have a hydraulic hose company local to us that has 2 mobile vans, i am in waleshire though

  8. hmmmmm is dan driving for round 2? big boys are back, hmmmmm just cleared a space for the trophy on my mantle piece to go with the one from round 1 ;)
  9. excellent first round with some excellent punches on a variety of terrain, the dry weather certainally made it interesting as to just how much grip was available, had an excellent day with only the demise of the stering box ( think it started on the team recovery, somehow nursed it to the end of the day) & a few new dents on simons truck, would like to thank matt & his team for putting on the event, well done to jon in the tray back & hannah & karl for taking 5th OA & team show n shine in there new truck (rich fear, Exmod90), also the glass trophy looks good on the mantle piece, hopefully we can keep up the results Mike
  10. Right, i currently have a whitbread buggy with a td5 powering it along, its vnt'ed & mapped etc etc so goes very well, problem ive had is that the smoke escaped from the clutch, it needs a replacment clutch & will prob go for a solid flywheel whilst im there, my query is, is a td5 R380 box the same spline count as an 300 r380/ lt77 (23 splines i think) & also is the input chaft the same size? also what size is the standard clutch? 240mm? reason for asking is i know that cossie clutches can be used on a tdi, so was thinking that a cossie clutch could be used for a td5?
  11. hmm i reconise that windscreen bar & front winch.... is that you john?
  12. if anyone has a britpart plastic 200tdi rad that doesnt fit a standard frame, ill give it a home as they fit lovely in my buggy

  22. overnighted to sa41 ?? weight saving ahoy
  23. i shall explain, used my stock of 200 pumps up by twiddling with them till they emptied there guts out or started leaking due to fuel pressure , fitted a 300 pump & it went better in a stock tune than it did with an opened out 200 pump, anyhoo i would say a 300 pump on a 200 works very well,
  24. rubbish my 200 went better with a 300 pump than it did with several 200 pumps fitted
