  1. I wish I could do that in some conversations in real life ....
  2. Allegedly he spent 3600 quid building it ...... read the bottom bit of the advert it quite enlightening. Built using just that model as a reference and the bonnet is a genuine humvee one that he cut 7 inches off. He's put a lot of work in on it..... It doesn't appeal to me
  3. When you consider he had at least 4 auctions cancelled and at least as many again that have finished without a sale I'd have to agree ....
  4. After all his efforts to get the wording right on his auction he got no bidders and has had to relist ..... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Land-Rover-Series-2A-Chassis-/251888990029
  5. I'd say the more important thing to prevent cracking is what is underneath them.
  6. I'd be interested to know/see how you did it, not got anything to use it on but I'm a curious fella (at least I think that's what she said to me)
  7. No need to shout I was going off the bit that said 'bid is for wheel nut' but you are right the title should be what the auction is for.
  8. Yep but the auction is for a wheel nut, possibly get the auction pulled in this case for fee avoidance.
  9. Interesting, the last two didn't get deleted but he ended them himself. I wonder if he is now reading this thread.
  10. Nope, I had a listing cancelled before (turned out to be a recalled product) and they don't bill you. I imagine if they did on criminal listings they would be profiting from a crime.
  11. Ok I'm confused, as well as that ad he has http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/251884851049 EDIT: Now I understand, he's started a new auction because he reckons the old one will get removed after the question that got asked on it. old one http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/251884029415
  12. I think Guinness Original bottles may be similar as well, but may depend on what promotions etc are on or even down to if it's a supermarket or real off licence. Good luck with the beer search and op recovery.
  13. Have a look for Nigerian bottled Guinness, if I remember correctly they still use the older style label. Of course you'll have to drink it to and at 8% it's a little stronger than the normal stuff.
  14. Well one of them I reported for profanity, I've also reported as items supporting illegal activity (or words to that effect) EDIT: They should be reported as <Prohibited and restricted items> <Government and police-related items> <Government documents, ids and licences> Thanks go to Supaimpy for highlighting the correct section in the ebay terms. We should all report them under this I think.
  15. My auto will work on a fluorescent light if you adjust the sensitivity, I guess that probably means .... maybe
  16. ahem ..... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/251884029415 The way he is now wording it could result in it being classed as legit, we know it isn't.
  17. Well according to NASA who I'm guessing have some credentials in this area you should use a #14 welding lens for viewing an eclipse. Guess that answers the question. http://sunearthday.nasa.gov/2012/transit/viewing.php
  18. When I was a kid I used my dads welding helmet to watch an eclipse and again in '99 used a lens from a welding helmet to view an eclipse (during a work meeting IIRC) anyhow I'm still able to see, make of that what you will.
  19. That's quite a sensible idea Richard.
  20. Strange, he seems to have now fallen under the profanity section of eBays listing policy violations. EDIT: I find his persistence quite interesting as we will get to discover how many auctions you have to have cancelled before getting a ban.
  21. Those that know me would never accuse me of being a snob but ffs we really need to get some chlorine for the gene pool Surprised he'd worked out how to use a computer EDIT:BTW if he gets reported enough times they will delete his account, whilst I know he can re-register it does mean he'll have zero feedback which will annoy him.
  22. You are of course correct Pete, that's why we have so many problems with defenders floating off all the time
  23. Lol, I know this however it doesn't do wonders for the blower motor when you get a tidal wave over the bonnet and in through the air vents. You also get a fully steamed up screen so you can't see out.
