  1. Youve completle missed my point. The 300Tdi radiator is NOT a crossflw even when new.
  2. Two things to ask. Why is it that the 300Tdi isn't fitted with either a proper radiator like the series or a proper crossflow like the 200Tdi The viscous fan can and does at certain fan speeds stop the airflow through the radiator
  3. That's why I recomend ad wire up, that the dip element is kept on all the time with an H4 halogen
  4. Forgive me fot my age lol Yes it should be MoT
  5. Even a conversion from a standard filament bulb to an LED bulb in a side/ tail light is illegal. So I was informed when I rang the MoD.
  6. It's now many many years since I did mine. Mine was with filled with sand so I took it apart. Now that spring, yep I had difficuly with that. Although the lock worked fine you had to return the key to center so I eventually took it to a locksmith. I think he charged me a fiver, how long ago ?. I screwed mine together with vountersink screws and nuts. Yep is's still working but the key still has to be returned to center by hand ps, I thought that there was a gasket between door and lock. In Namibia and Botswana I sealed the outside door face at the lock with masking tape
  7. Echo Trailers make one.www.echo4x4.co.saWorth a look to see how it's made
  8. The axle WILL NOT go up and down it will only try to rotate on the axis. Try it with a LEGO model. Draw a triangle with the flat surface at the top. Now press the point at the bottom up. You can't move it. Have you driven one with that set up? No rear axle movement
  9. That only lets one shocker work at a time. Depends on how the axle lifts as to weather the front or rear shocker works
  10. all wiring colours http://www.expeditionlandrover.info/Lucaswirecode.htm
  11. Looking at your comments you seem to have a petrol type rev counter.
  12. Get a test light made up. Then switch whater circuit you want to work, Then go to each wire connector in turn to work out what is what
  13. how many times have you had this belt on and off. If more than once get a new belt
  14. } have seen this done to aFrench Defender to make a feet area for his young son. No I didn't look to see hoe it was done. I agree with Mo and Mbikw here there needs to be some strength put back
  15. Oh yes they can but with ten thousand drivers
  16. One of those callipers could cost you an arm and two legs
  17. Yes Dave the Neg lead needs to be easily identifying or painted yellow. crtainly an RAC MSA rule but I don't know about FISA as it's quite a long time since I tried to understand the yellow book
  18. You set your vehicle on fire then. I wondr if you knoe how an FIA switch works, aparently you do not. So yo,Red 90< fit the FIA switch in the Neg side of the circuit. Now tell me how the live ign side will work. Yes I will fit a battery cut off switch in Neg line but never fit an FIA switch in there. A cutof switch will not kill the enging. It can easily over come with a p encil. Something an FIA switch can not be done Red 90 now please explakn to me and everybody else. You fit an FIA switch inti the neg line. HOW DO YOU WIRE THE LIVE IGNITION WIRES IN ?
  19. YES. It's nice to know you can switch the engine off via the FIA switch. That's why competition cars have the switch both on the inside and another means of switching the engine off from the outside. Look for the white triangle with the electrical by the lever for the switch
  20. So you are quite happy to be able to run rthe engine with the neg wiring switched off to blow the alternator.
