Well, this is the donor of the 1st Mazda :
This 110 with a Mazda 3500 Slti was driving around with an LT95 before they started on getting it out - my guess is that the flywheel / bell housing bolt pattern is V8
Of the LT85 I am also collecting is unknown the flywheel / bell housing bolt pattern is unknown as I do not know what engine that was originally mated to. However, I eventually will get another Mazda from that source and the seller claims that it should fit that LT85.
So I will have to be patient....
I have WOR in both LHD and RHD vehicles and found them to fit very nice.
I am changing - in the future - an R380 for an LT85 so it will be interesting to see what problems I run into..
The Mazda I hope to collect in 2 weeks time is a Mazda with a LT95 attached to it.
However, I'd rather have a LT85 and I found one.
Thus my question about the bolt pattern..
Hope so.....
I really, really would like to mate a LT85 to that Mazda - the LT 95 was not on my list.. But, as you know, flywheel housings for them are more than rare...
It is going to be a complicated NL trip..
I am awaiting a Mazda 3500 SLTi with a LT85 gearbox to go into a 110 chassis.
However, i've been offered another Mazda (you can't have too many...) with a LT95.
And somebody else offered me a loose LT85....
Question 1 : do the LT85 and the LT95 have the same bolt pattern for the flywheelhousing ? (the Mazda has a different flywheelhousing for the various gearboxes)
Question 2 : are these 2 boxes (LT85 with an LT230) the same length ? (or do I need to change the gearbox ones ?)
Many, many thanks.
No - as you said : you'll need an adapting spacer

These could do the job.
I run steel D1 rims on my Series & 110
Goedeavond,
As the Discovery project is moving forward it has come to the point where some €€€ must be spent..
Turbo has axle play and oil in it and need replacing of the cartridge or a complete new turbo.
Who has experience with either please ?
Thank you.
I'd suggest to sell it.
Cash is always nice to have and you have more projects.
I'm about to start the Ninety and that one, once finished, will be sold.
I have enough LR's and if you don't use them you loose them.
Nice !
Just for suggestions, we had a set up like this in the 109 " / 88" / 110 :
Slide out stove..
Works quite well...
Was originally fitted to our 109" Hard Top and moved to the various other LR's over the decades.. 2 Gas bottles are sliding in and out making for a simple sturdy mount. Camping Gaz can be found almost everywhere and many meals were served from the back door.
Goedeavond,
Sorry for the delay but I'm en route.
You're an ACE !!!!!
Please let me know what sort of money you'd like for it - and would you be willing to post it towards Bristol ?
I'll be in the UK it seems later this year but with a 18 tonnes truck so detouring is not easy....
Again, many thanks !!
It sounds as if you have the vehicle still in the "immobilized " mode.
Knowing the D3 you'll need to take it to the dealer / specialist with the correct computers to make the thing talk to your new remote and the key to disarm it and accept the transponder in the key - 2 very different things.
But you'll need to have some good paperwork to show and proof to them on how you legally became the owner of the vehicle before they'll touch it.
Bon Courage !
