  1. I need it laser cut. The cutting company told me it only measured 12 x 8mm, my reply was that it's in inches. He then said the machine doesn't do imperial. Hence I'd like it converting. I don't have a clue about drawing. Thoughts ?
  2. Is this correct ? I scaled it by 25.4 in bendtech sheet metal. G dana-60-differential-cover-bolt-pattern metric.dxf
  3. Gents, I have a basic DXF that is currently imperial. I need it converting to metric. It's a diff pan, so hardly complicated. Could someone on here do it ? Thanks Gordon dana-60-differential-cover-bolt-pattern.dxf
  4. Nathan, it's a really smart system...but is it really necessary ? I'd like to see one in use, but we all survive here without if you know what i mean. For compressor, i think you're pissing in the wind with something like an ARB item.... What about using an aircon compressor, it's how we run our vehicles now and touch wood haven't had any problems. I do however have a 12v compressor plumbed in as backup incase of air con pump failure. Or maybe find some sort of dedicated engine driven compressor ?? Gordon
  5. Fair enough, Barrie runs a chain. Doesn't have an oil bath, don't worry about that. Saley tried one on his yellow truck and then went back to the prop shaft way. I've only ever run crank driven, and have no complaints or intention of changing to chain even though space would be better. G
  6. An 80 is a big axle... but very strong. Ford or Chevy.... the ford D60 front is high pinion, but not as strong as chevy from what i'm informed. Personally i'd go chevy, which is right hand drop and then upgrade to a set of 35 spline outters, change the inners and joints if you wish as well. Why atlas ? What's wrong with something like an np205 - will cost you £1500 less and can be made just as strong. Although the low ratio is only 2:1 My upcoming build is TH400, NP205, NP203 doubler, D80 rear diff, 14b front diff, 47 spline front and rear. Rear inners are only 40 spline so i can use an ARB, front has a spool. I purposely didn't go for an atlas but will run the 205 with a 34 spline titan shaft + other small upgrades inside. G
  7. 14bolt rear d60 front Chevy transfer case. Easiest / strongest way. G
  8. Run it off a prop in front of the engine. Much better. G
  9. Simon, i think you might be right. But personally, i'd use one of each. But paint them first, they have to be painted. G
  10. I don't run a thermostat or plate. Not had any issues and it cools perfectly with a rear mounted rad. G
  11. Mr Nige, I know i'm being pedantic, but : Davies Craig : vs Craig David :
  12. The tractor would certainly break down less
  13. As per mr boothy, we've destroyed QT arms... and only "bent" LR arms. Not sure on the other makes. G
  14. Chris, i wouldn't use a crank driven pump for an industrial use. A transfer driven pump wouldn't be slow if you chose the correct one - i.e. a Group 3. G (i run a crank driven system for challenging)
  15. Man up ! The uk summer only lasts about a week. Some of us work in it year round ? G
  16. How's your oil level ? Is it smoking ?
  17. The o rings aren't the sole problem, sometimes the end cap the seal on also needs replacing. G
  18. Nige, try welding up a 4" pipe on the inside of a vessel. Then someone calling you, and you look around the said pipe and lean on it with your neck. He didn't stop whinging for ages about it ! G
  19. That looks like a LC and looks like you're in northern RSA from the reg plate. IF i'm correct.... how many landrover have you seen VS land cruisers The numbers speak for themselves haha G
  20. Thanks Mike. Are they equally spaced or not (like LR). G
  21. Hi, I was wondering if anyone could tell me the bolt PCD's of the disco 2 compared to the normal defender transfer box flange. Just to compare the size please. Any pictures next to each other would help as well. I've searched the forum and google to no avail. Thanks Gordon
