matthew74
I'm looking for some new door hinges for my 90. Which ones are the best? I read that later ones have washers between the two halves that can help stop rust bleed. The only ones i can find that look like that are from DLS on e-bay for about £60 quid. Has any one bought them and are they any good? Any recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks, Mat. Also can you get stainless steel pins for the air vent hinges? sgnas
The vent pins on my 110 are small diameter bar with threaded ends, so easily replaced by stainless bar.
matthew74
Sounds like an easy job. I'll have to have a closer look at the pins this weekend.
Godlykepower
If your feeling particularly rich, or have recently won the lottery....you could always go for the uber-bling aliminium hinges from Croytec. They only cost £325 for a two door set CROYTEC

landroversforever
Those hinges are pure bling and a good bit of machining porn Expensive, but seem to be a perfect solution to crappy rusty hinges

ChrisM_110
For a cheapskates new-style hinge buy some cheap Birtprat or Bearmach hinges, knock the pin out, grind a small recess for a nylon washer, paint and re-assemble with the pin copper or white lithium greased. Godlykepower
Sorry Dan, I think you made a typo there.....you accidentally typed £625! I really cant afford that right now, indeed I cant even afford the £325 ; but I know that Croytec make some very good stuff, so I reckon they will be brilliant bits of kit. Scotts90
The ones I put on the 200 were the washered up versions (about £60iirc), 3 years since the build and they are fine. No rust, no slop. They were galvanised so they got t-washed, etch primed and painted prior to fitting.
