no what they are saying is that you put a big turbine on the roof of the car.

you then push start the car- it turns the turbine because of the air speed- turbine starts to make electricity- powers the electric motors in the car. Makes the car go quicker- more speed = more power. free energy at any speed you want.

shall i post this on the greenies forum and see if i get any takers?

Hmmm.... perpetual motion like this doesn't work....

Maybe we could have a boiler in each of our cars, and burn a campaigner?

Or have Thandie Newton in the back seat... then sod driving anywhere... B) :rolleyes::rolleyes:

They then wittered on about other businesses with unusal names and the following* came up:

A tree surgeon ............................................ John Oaks

Cleaneres in St. Albans ............................... Spruce Spring Clean

A baker's ................................................... Heat Loaf

A sports shop ..............................................Merchant of Tennis

A Chinese medicine practitioner ................... Dr Wu

A tobacconists ............................................ Fume and Chew

A Cafe ....................................................... Mr Tea

and my favourite, a window cleaner ............. Chamois Davies Jr (pron. Shammy)

there's so many of these awful play on words in the fish and chip industry. Some of my "favourites"

Fin- the last word in fish and chips (although i really like this one as it actually presumes that customers have a modicum of intelligence!)

A fish called Rhonda (in Rhonda unsurprisingly- and i don't mind this one either)

There use' to be a chinese restaurant in Knightsbridge (I think) that was called "Ho Lee Fok".

And there's a company that'll do your ironing for you in Suffolk - "The Iron Lady"

Battered cod in Fallowfield, Manchester

There use to be a shoe shop near Bermondsey called R. Soles

There is an indian restaurant in Halesowen called Balti Towers and a chinese restaurant in Birmingham called the Shirley Temple

There used to be a butchers in Elland (Yorkshire) proudly displaying the sign:

We have "Wok This Way" (Chinese takeaway) and "Exchange & Smart" (Fancy Dress) at the bottom of our street.

There was "British Hairways" (Ladies Hairdressers) in Sheffield.

Some friends formed a group (band) in the '60s "The Beat Routes" and more recently "Phil Anderson and the Philanderers"

There was an Afro-Carribean cafe called "Pinky's" in Sheffield
