My 2002 MY 90 has the plastic under trays under the engine ...... Is there a parts diagram that shows these ? Any help welcomed.

I was going to ask that - but Nige has got it covered for both of us.

Could it be that your wastegate is wound up to much and the boost is too high ? Incidentally I bought a VDO MAF after I killed one with a jet wash - and it worked really well.

If unplugging it fixes the problem - then it's definitley the maf. On my last 90 the maf was broken when I got it - but I didn't find out for a long time - and it's replacement only made incremental inprovements to the drive.

So looks like I would be good to go

I'd be really grateful if you could share where the adaptor is from please ? It's on my list of things to do.

Excuse my ignorance - but is it not worth keeping a one way water trap ? If only for rain water ?

A rear step. One of the bolts I could get a nut too one I couldn't ..... Isn't yours a Td5 chassis with a rear step ....... How is yours fitted ?

Sometmes it's the fact it's going in blind. Like the crossmember box section - no crush tube or access to the rear means no alternative ?

With the optional 3,5t recovery point you definitely would

X-Cess leg pins - triple butted high tensile leg pins. A 2" plate of A2 stainless with M10 fasteners in your hip won't let you down ...

What are the Bilsteins like off road ? I somehow seem to have got the impression that they are a road biased thing ?

I had the tool - but it just does upto M6. I've just tried to put an M10 half hex nursert with a bolt and it didn't go so well. I think the hex in the crossmember has rounded out and the nursert feels like it won't compress anymore even though it's not tight. I think the oversized nut and the washers stopped spinning. I've done it ok in the past ok - though that was wish nursert that were easier to compress. I've cleaned the washers up and greased it all and will give it another go to see if it will fully pull it down on a second go....

I guess if you are talking abut the procedure it would also include bleeding it - though that's just turning it lock to lock with the cap off and getting the level right.

Which model is it ? On the Td5 there were a couple of bolts that would be easy to miss from memory..?
