  1. they could be done on a cnc mill too = just pop round your local engineering places and collect quotes.
  2. I think on that basis you're allowed to do whatever you like
  3. I bought some HD spring off ebay recently - they are colour coded and listed under the part numbers - but when they came were britpart items.... Ebay link They were though £34 per pair. I think the whole thing is a minefield and I think you could end up returning most of the springs that you got sent by most of the suppliers - perhaps the only way to guarantee LR parts is to buy them from LR? For the price of yours though I think I'd return them.
  4. Is it called articulation when its falling over like that?
  5. My Dad used to be a mains layer for the Gas Board in the 60's - he used to bend tube with sand.
  6. I looked at those - but my side windows clear very well from the front vents... so hardly seems worth it. I did wonder about the high flow window vents - but they are pretty expensive.
  7. I get 29 to 35 from my td5. Mostly around 31/32.
  8. Blimey - look at this summary from the BBC web site of what's happened to the UK car manufacturers:
  9. Muddy What springs and mounts are you using them with?
  10. On a serious note - where does the 110 get the extra travel from? is it just on the back?
  11. I'm just indulging in a bit of unreasonableness I like them all
  12. Get with the times?? Defenders are timeless!
  13. Perhaps a 101 is someone's who probably won't grow up to be a Man's car - after all he's still playing soldiers
  14. Its easy .... A Range Rover is a snobs car An old Range Rover owner is someone who aspires to a snob A very old Range Rover owner is someone who thinks snobs are knobs A Defender 90 is a Man's car A series is an old man's car A 110 is Man who's almost old and who feels he should be practical's car Any discovery is a Man's wife's car or someone who practically isn't a Man's car
  15. It gives two prices - one for in advance and one for on the day - so I presume you can!
  16. The headlights on my 90 are used almost exclusively on unlit country roads - and illuminate the road comparably to the lights on the RX8 I got rid of - which had those Xenon HID things. Not as white or intense perhaps - but being higher up they have a better spread and still plenty bright enough. Maybe they were upgraded before I got it? If so it'd be the only mod the truck had done.
  17. So is a simple engine swap covered by just ticking the box and providing the new cc and number?
  18. Mine are standard 99 Td5 as far as I know and are really powerful !?
  19. Does it say how you should let them know? ie does sending the V5 back with the box ticked for change - and giving a new cc and engine number enough? would they then either just accept the changes or prompt you for more information - or is the onus on you? Because if the onus is on you it doesn't specify that on the V5 that you should do more than notify then through its use.
  20. If you're the landowner prosecute them if you can - at least report them to the police. Working through the system would be the best result I think.
