  1. When running on our front tank it will transfer all 45ltrs to the rear tank via the return in about 10 miles. So yes it's normal. Mike
  2. I fitted a discovery flap and recess in the side of my ibex. I got one cut out of a panel the drilled the rivets out and prised it out of the body panel. Then I flattened out the bit of body panel to use as a cutting template. Bit of careful hammer work, some new rivets and some paint. Mike
  3. I've got to extract something at or before the weekend so I'm sure I can pass it to Dave for you.Mike
  4. I've got a folder you can borrow if you want it's a cheapy but it did bits on the ibex ok. It's 800mm but the fold in the middle of 1.5 Ali at full length is not as tight as the ends. I've also got a blade and vee block for a press only 250mm long but I've managed over a 1m by bend a bit move on then come back and do a bit more. Mike
  5. You have my sympathys. Speedy recovery. Mike
  6. I'd take the props off to check the uj's I've had one that seized even when well greased only found it because I took the prop off (it was giving me a vibration). Mike
  7. Straight swap. Just use you old hand brake the casings/out put flange are the same failing that I think it's only a new cable but not sure off hand. Mike
  8. Well I can safely say you can get 53.25lt use out of a 89 ninety tank though I thinks I was cutting it a little fine oops. Mike
  9. For me it's synthetic all day everyday I agree with mickeyw though. You can always keep the rope clean and off the drum in your motor it takes but minutes to spool it on. I snapped a plasma in Russia it A, didn't kill or injure any one and B, we tied it in a knot carried on and spliced it properly at camp. That rope has had much use since. Mike
  10. How well did you flush it and are you sure it was straight water before. We had an interesting problem at work a customer had topped up his antifreeze and the system turned to jelly. It turned out this can happen if you mix red and blue antifreeze the heat exchanger was almost solid. Mike
  11. Take the pto cover off mark the shaft, mark the prop flange then roll the truck forward one revolution of the prop and see where the other mark has got to. The other will then be roughly a 1/4 turn on (1.2), half a turn on (1.4) or a bit further still (1.6) from a full turn. I think that's the right way round. Mike
  12. Just my 5 eggs. It wouldn't fail iva with no abs provided the brakes met the standard which they would. I had two 200 discos with no abs from new so can't see how you could prove it was there if completely removed. If disabled yes mot fail etc but if removed I'm not so sure. Mike
  13. Just noticed fridge's post says on site catering what he means is : tea and coffee! Mike
  14. And they wonder why people drive with no insurance. I don't condone it but surely if they made the prices more sensible less would go without. Mike
  15. The club trailer makes 45 sweat going up there too. Mike
  16. I'd agree ours is only 18 months old and looking seriously ropey. I bought it because it was the only one I could get at the time but never again.Mike

  20. I bought one two years ago ran it for a year then broke it for the ibex and sold what was left. It very nearly paid for itself in fact it would of done if I hadn't kept bits. Mike
