  1. I'd use either Ali or galv sheet instead of ply. Add a small battery and you can connect it to the car then the fridge can run in the trailer. Mike
  2. I think I would make new hinges/plates and longer internal bolts/plates that way you could attach your spacer to the hinge/plate it would look neater be stronger and not leave open holes. Mike
  3. Unless it's non land rover your looking for then beaulieu is good. But as said if it's land rover your after Newbury is the one but I don't think the dates will work for you.Mike
  4. Your more than welcome it was no trouble. I know mike and Mandy so was nice to see them. Mike
  5. I'm going from Southampton to Chichester tomorrow. Mike
  6. You can fit a td fan cowl however you need to turn it upside down and cut holes for the pipe work. Oh it must have a 4 bolt steering box to or it won't fit. Mike
  7. Yes either hose clips or the crimp type. Mike
  8. I've just fitted a bearmach mirror to the 110 seemed fine to me I didn't notice any issues to or from Wales towing. Mike Just looked mine came from m12-offroad on eBay.
  9. 291 is for general purpose though you may have to work at it to get it apart later as it sticks like the proverbial. Mike
  10. Another great event. The weather was good Saturday and a little moist Sunday but that didn't dampen any spirits. I didn't take many pictures as the wife is better at it. So here's a couple I did take. See you all in September. Mike
  11. I bought an Octavia estate "while I'm building the ibex" best car I've ever owned it cost £500 ran beautifully, never broke down and did everything it was supposed to and........I absolutely hated it for all those reasons. So now we have a 33 year old 110 that leaks like a sieve and I need to do a prop after a trip to Wales. I couldn't be happier!?!? Mike
  12. Sorry the truck is still in my mates garage and unlikely to make it to the new house for a while (something about a kitchen being useful). Mike
  13. Check your junk box if still no then pm me with your name and email address. My wife does the bookings. Mike
  14. I must say I quite like that though I'm unlikely to buy one. Mike
  15. Check the oil level in the transfer box and check the breather is clear would be my first look. Mike
  16. They are definitely not late 80's ninety plugs those plugs are post 200tdi at the earliest. Having said that it could be a stereo plug. Mike
  17. I stand corrected on my phone the side windows look just like very early second row doors. In which case your figure is bang on I think. Mike
  18. It'd an early station wagon which means pick a figure and someone will pay it. However I bought a slightly older station wagon cosmetically better but with a knackered 200tdi and a chassis that needed quite a few plates for £1750 last year. The point is I could sell it now as a running truck for over £3k. I would give under £1k for that personally. Mike
  19. I have had two fail due to vibration on completely different vehicles however I am more than happy to use copper and I suspect kunifer would of failed to. I think it's automec that do complete vehicle kits whether they do a kit for the td5 I don't know but I had a bespoke set made years ago for a mini jem (mini subframes just bigger gap in between) I just told them the extra length at a show and they posted to me. Mike
  20. I know very little about pumas, I hear mixed reports about the dash and heater/aircon I like the look but being over 6 foot I'm told it's not good on the knees. As for engines I like clockwork hence the 200tdi but the 15p TD5 is a good engine and one of the tdci's is better than the other (can't remember which) but both you will need to get to grips with diagnostics. Salisbury rear axles are stronger but rover are easier to repair in the field. TD5 chassis rot for a pastime not sure if puma got better. The spud shaft between gearbox and transfer box on pumas can have wear issues. Personally I'd probably go older and use the extra money to bring it up to purfect condition, I would consider a late TD5 with a mint or galvanized chassis and a Salisbury rear axle but aircon on this dash style is awful. Mike
  21. All bookings must be in by next Thursday. See you all there. Mike
  22. It would help if you told us you actual intended use. Lot's of miles in hot climates lends itself to a discovery with aircon. But if it's a trip around the world maybe a 300tdi 110 would be better. Also your skill level, I would think nothing of driving my 1983 200tdi engined 110 to oz (might need a chassis swap first though) but would think twice in a puma. There is nothing wrong with doing it in a puma but I can fix the 200 but would struggle with the puma, where as a friend would take a V8 with megasquirt and a laptop. Mike
  23. Locktite 577 (cures and locks in place) is fine with diesel but designed for threaded fittings as is jet blue (just a sealant). Mike
  24. As far as I know all 4 bolt boxes are the same with metric threads as does the 6 bolt. 3 bolt are imperial. But the 200/300 pumps are different wether the pipe work is at that end I don't know. Mike
