  1. Not sure if it's possible, looking at the parts book for both 200 & 300Tdi, the 300's turbo is or looks to be a integral part of the exhaust manifold assembly, 200 turbo is a seperate part.
  2. I don't like them & wouldn't trust them on a heavy vehicle like a LR of any description.
  3. I've replaced the chassis end bushes without jacking the 110 up, I chocked all wheels both side & parked it in low/diff lock engaged, 110 & axle didn't give me any problems.
  4. Should be enough space for a Tdi, reckon chassis part of engine mounts will have to be moved at the very least.
  5. Yep, checked & repaired the screen base rail, just 2 very small bits there, screen & it's frame & front doors were removed to do these repairs, [see last 2 pics in my first batch of pictures] I don't have the time to do a bulkhead change, need to use my 110 every other day & weekends for rally recovery duty & other volunteer work, I'd love a new bulkhead & get it galvanised but can't have the 110 off the run for that long.
  6. Yes mine has done a fair few miles LR made new casting moulds for the Tdi heads as the external surface is different as are the injector/glowplug locations, probably a coincidence that they look similar to Series cast heads. you maybe right about the thermal properties & temp gradients through the cylinder heads material.
  7. Hi Simon, 1.I know 200Tdi's have had gasket faults in the past I assume 300's have to seeing as it's almost the same engine, 2. had to replace my 200's cylinder head recently due to internal cracks, it was using water but not into oil, seems it was cracked into one of the valve chambers & getting burnt or vapourised. 3.probaly just down to heat or additives in the fuel or maybe the injector material was faulty. good to hear all the new parts are from a top quality supplier
  8. Right you lot -------- play nicely we don't want any punch ups in this nice friendly Defender forum, lets keep our B) & each other or I'll you all onto Mod preview before any replies are made visible. lets keep it
  9. Photo's of the finished bulkhead repair, I know the paint doesn't match, it's all I could get, the final paint still needs to be done along with repainting the vent panels & door hinges,
  10. do it soon or your rig won't like it for too long. setting SWR
  11. Try water temp sender unit PRC8593 correct one for the Defender version & used in my ex-2.5TD 1989 110 with the existing gauge, my gauge needle sits just to left of centre & hardly moves when worked hard in high or low range.
  12. Can post some after pics later, my bonnet hinge areas are fine, we just used the outer edge to be the finish junction for the repair, hopefully to make it look good. it's the top door hinge areas that rot, I haven't seen any with rotten bonnet hinge areas.
  13. Just chucked my 200Tdi engined 1989 110's reg in & got this out ------------------ Not subject to LEZ - Based on the information you have entered and information held by Transport for London (TfL), the Low Emission Zone (LEZ) does not apply to this vehicle. As long as the vehicle remains not subject to the LEZ the daily charge does not have to be paid for this vehicle when it is used in the Zone. Emissions classification for these dates is based on the Vehicle Type and the age of the vehicle
  14. downside = rest of truck full of stupendously huge batteries.
  15. further to obtaining new check rods, I've seen a complete kit on ebay this evening, still with days to run, here it is
  16. my 200Tdi 110CSW sits at 89cm from ground to centre lower edge of front wheel arch flare & it's 51.5cm from centre of the wheel centre cap, my 110 is on OME springs 751's IIRC with a Husky & matching winch bumper & RUNS ON 255/85 BFG MT's hth
  17. IIRC the S2b 110 forward control had a heavier gross weight than any current 110 or 130, so I'd say the wheels were ok for a 110 as we know it.
  18. I think you meant to say 'my 110 runs on Discovery steel wheels' I've not heard of those failing on a 110, there as strong as the XD/Wolf steels on my 110. the old RR Rostyle wheels fail/crack if used on heavily laden 110's because those aren't recommended for 110 or rated to carry a 110's max gross weight.
  19. that's cos it's his employers vehicle not his own, without that 110 BB is LRless
  20. the Series 3 version of the vehicle above was called a Carmicheal Redwing FT6 110wb S2B vehicles like this one [now owned by my mate Earl on here & used for Motorsport fire duties]
  21. ah, but that was 6 months ago, worth pulling them for a clean/gap check.
  22. maybe the spark plugs need changing or the gaps resetting, how long have they been fitted, maybe past their best.
  23. As Nige replied -------- Part # Vehicle(s) Axle Length Rate Coils Colour Code NRC4304 RR HD Rear 17.71 170 7 red/white from here LR Spring details
  24. Your new flasher relay needs to be a 2 + 1 type [hella electronic - translucent blue case] the 2 being the vehicle + the 1 being the trailer, maybe you have a non towbar fitted flasher relay.
