I'd be checking the wastegate isn't sticking as my new disco was doing this recently, laggered it in penetration spray & worked it back & forth & all is good
when i first started using the wheel bearing race to drive the seals in i measured how far they could go in when the seal bottomed out as such, on the ones i measured they were at the required 4mm so since then ive always used the bearing race to drive it home till it stopped,
i think you are being more than reasonable, personally i wont do any grinding after 9pm but my workshop is in amongst the back gardens of the surrounding houses,
Can anyone advise on the correct part numbers for a fuel filter head on a td5 discovery? T reg (99)
also the correct fuel regulator as thats leaking
& the numbers for both front door lock actuators
Cheers
Mike
breg90 is correct, weight is everything,
our previous challenge truck was 2300, the current buggy is 1900 +/- depending on event & it is a noticable differance, bearing in mind a creepy crawler on a beadlock rim is 60kg each, winches are roughly 50kg each (Gp's + 8274s) i think you will really struggle to get all your other parts of the build "built" for a ton in weight,
as above im looking for some recomendations for a battery for starting & running the 12v system on my Td5 challenge truck,
i currently have an 072 600CCA 73Ah battery fitted but due to the ongoing mods for King of the Valleys i now have a space which is only 230mm wide x 175mm x 175mm ,
any suggestions on which battery i should go for? ideally i would like to mount the battery on its side if possible as it will keep the terminals away from the bonnet,
I have looked at the Odyssey extreme 30/35/40 & the Odyssey Pc545 but havent been able to decide which would be the best to go for
any suggestions welcome
looking for the part numbers for both the handle mechanism & the piece that goes on the door pillar to allow fitment of series 3 doors to a defender?
TIA
ok veering marginally offtopic, what about the 2.9 5 cylinder fitted to the 312D sprinters & the ssanyung mussos? are they as tunable as easily as the om606?
