  1. Mike, that trailor looks great - any chance of some more pics?
  2. We do a lot of camping and have a variety of tents for each scenario. For general family camping out of the 110 we use a decathlon two bedroom pop up. However if your child is young you may consider a single room pop up. For such tents I always work on the premise of adding an extra sleeping spot in order to have additional space for kit.
  3. Be systematic: start with fuse, check current, check earths etc
  4. I bought a set of shop soiled ones from craddocks. They are the later model ones that I transplanted the internals from my 1988 model ones. However if you don't mind lift up handles there are some bargains to be had on fleabay.
  5. When I started Pocking around and pulling the carpet away I cried - ended up replacing the floor! Still at least it is dry now.
  6. I put a metal one in, complete with cup holders and a 12v socket.
  7. Start at the Normandy beaches and work your way round. Look up Operation COBRA for some good info around Caen.
  8. I used the two seals when refitting the roof. It let water in like a sieve! Popped the roof and inserted a thick layer of kitchen silicone (£11 from b&q). It has lasted four years and is still going strong!
  9. Wow, having been off line for a while it's great to return to this.
  10. I've seen a few TGVs on fleebay go for little money.
  11. Great mod - finally got around to doing it on my radio switch (normally runs from the main battery but I can now flick the input onto the aux battery).
  12. All fitted and tested on the way to work this morning and on the return journey this evening; nice and warm. I need to drill the front of the cubby box to fit the switches properly.
  13. They look great but too expensive for santa to splash out on!
  14. Check the rear earth. Was everything ok before you fitted the trailer lights?
  15. Have considered that but am now tempted mounting the supplied switches with an additional 12v outlet (potentially usb) in the front of the cubby box. This would be the cheapest option and would only require a few holes drilling. I have a spare 12v outlet and power from the leisure battery is close by.
  16. Agreed but I'm rather fussy and want all the switches to be flush when in the off position. Hence off-on-on. The carling switch is actually off-one on-both on. OCD........
  17. I've been pondering where to locate mine. I didn't think that carling did a off-on-on switch that would marry up with the switches supplied - I've room for them in the raptor dash. Tempted to put the switches on the fuse cover as above. However I like the thought of putting them on the front of the cubby box.
