  1. Neutral switch will need connecting, it won't fire the injectors otherwise, but from your description I think you have other wiring issues...
  2. There are single pole Albrights available on D44, they should do the job nicely.
  3. 14'x20' is just about perfect for a single vehicle shed/worksop, lots of room either side, and plenty for storage and workbenches down the other end, very jealous
  4. I've often wondered why people with Disco's didn't do this in all honesty...
  5. Not bad at all, that's 100Kg hitch weigh I assume? Light at the moment, I guess once full of fluids, fuel and food it will be a tad more Oh, and like what you have done with the fuse boxes etc in that cabinet
  6. Personally I would use trap-clad, it's galvanised and plastic coated (often green) and is very light to move about as it is about 0.5mm think or so... There's often left overs on ebay, worth a look :http://www.ebay.co.uk/bhp/box-profile-roofing-sheets You can get them backed with celotex or equivalent, which would do your insulation all in one.
  7. I personally wouldn't bother, they tend to give another point of failure, the main reason for them is so they can run cats, I'm assuming you're not, so why bother. They are also VERY expensive, not your ordinary lambda probe. To remove them from the equation, you just unplug them from the loom and obtain the correct 'Tune' resistor that sits inline in the engine loom near the ECU, I forget which you need a but a quick google should find you what you need
  8. Check the oil colour mainly, if it ain't pink then it's on it's way out...
  9. I assume you just mean for suspending the vehicle, and not to control that upper link in any way?
  10. I found it, Tomcat apparently, 1.38 ratio.
  11. You have two choices really, diffs or transfer box. OR change tyre size, which I guess you won't want to do.... Ashcroft would be able to advise how to get to closest to original whatever you have fitted, might be worth giving them a call?
  12. My RRC oddly does the same, I don't worry about it too much
  13. The regulators aren't expensive, worth a try: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/A127-24V-REGULATOR-FIT-FIAT-MARELLI-LUCAS-ALTERNATOR-135231-/180954108231 I'm not saying that is the right one, but gives you an idea. Simple to fit too.
  14. Nice info, everything you should need there Nige, get a crack on mate
  15. There's a pic of the tyre fitment on mine here, with no spring in, guess the extended bump stops compressed a bit.... : http://forums.lr4x4.com/index.php?showtopic=23250&p=635604 The progressive bump stops wouldn't hurt I am sure, but not sure where they stand in comparison, but any extension is going to affect the articulation quite a bit....
  16. Ah just re-read your post, I am on 33/10.5R16 JT2s, on offset modulars, they do measure about 34" as well though. I ran 235/85R16 on modulars before this, and yes, rear arch trimming, bumper end caps and lock stops were all tweaked.
  17. Running the same JT2s and a 2" lift, extended poly bumpstops I have found that the tyre comes in contact with the inner arch near where the battery sits, this has resulted in two bent inner wings..... Don't know how long you have had them fitted, but be worth exploring the issues, as it wasn't present in articulation, but was during full front end compression, like when you hit a speed hump. This is on an RRC, but is essentially the same.
  18. 300TDI means you get the turbo up the top, and out of the way of the inner wing IIRC, so in that respect it can be a better option for transplant. I think the TDIs are generally more noisy than the NA, as they are direct injection, 300TDI is reputedly slightly quieter, but they are all tractor engines at the end of the day
  19. I would think 4 feet at a minimum What are you using for the post?
  20. Back to the release bearing then surely? Pivot point in gearbox could well be different hence the need for different bearings.
  21. There was one breaking about a week ago? In the for sale section.
  22. Very very cunning, like it Si Not thinking of going into production with it? Be great if there was an adjustable version for other phones...
  23. They appear better than the other lot... http://feedback.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback2&userid=springwoodlandrovers&ftab=FeedbackAsSeller What are you after? You may find it easier to source through the forum sales/wants section.
  24. 'apparently' they (there are a few similar products out there) do actually work, something to do with combustion heat curing at the point of leakage. Some have 30/50,000 mile warranty on them.
