  1. As the title says realy. Is there a gaskit to go between the plenum chamber and the bit of the inlet manifold with the trumpets in, or is it just a smear of sealant? Thanks Mark Oh its a 3.5 hotwire EFI.
  2. Ta muchly. I did find that page and went and measured tham and two of my springs are 15" and two are 15.25", not that much of a differance in length are thay. Im sure the sheet on that website says that rear springs are 16" or something. I will remeasure again then just stick them on and hope for the best. Are they different from side to side as well as front to back.
  3. Further info has been found, the folowing markings are stamped on the springs. One has BW25 One has BW29 One has 31BW One has 24BW Hope that helps abit more
  4. Hi all. I have got a set of four coil springs from a D90 I am rebuilding and have had them sand blasted for painting and the blasters have removed my marking labels so I now dont know which is which. Dose anyone know the which spring is which from its length. The truck is a Breg standard van sided 90. Thanks Mark
  5. If there was no shims what is your bottom swivel bearing like.
  6. Don’t no why you would want to change to the 08 dash setup. I think its awful, no leg room and I don’t think there is a middle seat option is there. I really think they have stepped backwards with this one. Shame
  7. Is the Britpart bush kit the only kit that supplies bushes for the rear A-frame to chassis mounts?
  8. My 300 90 is an early one ('96) so had the middle and rear silencer with no cat at the front. After routing around under my dads 90 ('98) which has a cat I realised that I could fit the middle and rear pipe part of the cat system to mine, which is all the de-cat pipe is anyway. So when my middle section died 12 months ago I did just this and it seemed to give me abit more power, better respons (getup and go) and a nice but not obtrusive note from the rear. Mark
  9. Hi all just a quick one for the LR masses, are 110/130 vented disk calipers a diferent size to 90 vented calipers even though the disks are the same size from what I can see.
  10. I've put a fitting into the threaded boss on the back of my inlet manifold (300Tdi) and is pritty good.
  11. Go on put a new V8 engine in you know you want to and petrol is cheeper then DERV. Saying that I drive a 300Tdin 90 and love it but I am building a V8 as well.
  12. I was told once that a new chain on a V8 will strech over time and put the timing out by a good 8 deg or so.
  13. Pass your test and get out on the road and drive but remember its a landrover and not a nova or a clio.
  14. Try driving it after the pipe has blown off the turbo and you will see why it starts so low. I find with mine that you have a about 10psi of boost even just crusing at 60.
  15. I thort that MS was a banked injection system were as diesels are sequential.
  16. I have the same problem with my D90 300Tdi as in alot of travel at the top but not all the time and its always been like it along with carp rear brkes (discs). Not long ago the brake valve was replaced (the one thats bolted to the drivers foot well) as it was leaking out of the tin cover end along with the rear calipers as they were nacked. All the wheel bearings are tight and it was bled in order till I was blue in the face. The master cylinder was also replced along with the servo about 2yrs ago and orthough the servo needs replcing again I don't think thats the problem.
  17. Friend of mine has got PAS on his 109 S11 hybrid ( Hi Rob ) and I think he used the top part of the S11 steering column and the bottom of the rangi one, then welded them together. Mark
  18. When its finaly running dose it charge properly, the rason I ask is that mine did the same fine one day and dead the next and it turned out to be that the alternator had gone short inside and was back draining the battery.
  19. Was anything dropped in one of the inlet ports when you changed the inlet manifold?
  20. My 300Tdi is the same. It all started after I had my front nearside inner wheel bearing colaps. Replaced it, the load on the bearings are correct with no play but ever since its bin as twitch as hell. I did remove the two top bush bolts to remove the brake pipe braket and I wonder if something has moved as it alowed the swivel to drop, with a puddle of oil to show for it.
  21. Ive just changed my procomps after 3 years as the backs have gone all bouncy after the 90 has been stood for a while, Ive fitted a full set of Britparts cellular dynamic ones plus there steering damper. Dont seem to be to bad for the price about 30 is quid each, will have to see how long thay last I supoz. Anyone ells tried them.
