  1. I have that 150 pc set, it is always advertised at "half price"" and is generally available at £99. It has been since I bought mine about 4/5 years ago, so you are saving £20. That said, £80 is a very good price. I must say that these deals do generate some interest, I bought mine because my neighbour showed me his "bargain" set at half price when I arrived home one day, I turned around and went straight to Halfrauds to get one. When I got home with it I called one son in law and one friend who both went straight out and bought the same but like I said, it`s been £99 ever since! I would highly recommend at £80
  2. I run that size tyre and I put a 1:2 box in mine, a 200 TDI . If the box comes out for any reason then I`ll go back to 1:4 . I have a healthy engine and standard fuel pump settings and it will run out of puff on long motorway hills. Landrover got it right .IMHO.
  3. I believe the only model to be fitted with a Flux capacitor was the centre steer. It may turn up one day in remarkably good condition.
  4. Don`t forget to send those diffs I paid for.
  5. Booked a double for me and Mrs Ninety. John
  6. I fitted new after market mounts after an engine and gear box change, allmakes branded I think. I changed them to genuine after a few days and the difference was significant.
  7. As you have drain plugs, using oil would make the problem go away.
  8. Ignore what you have found with the rear for now. I had a bent axle/stub after a Ford Focus hit my offside rear wheel, it bent the rim and the only other visible damage was the rear trailing arm bush (poly) was pushed out the side. Even when the arms and bushes were replaced on both sides the problem was evident when driving because the rear end used to wag like a dog and I could steer with the throttle...you are not complaining of handling problems so don`t worry about the rear until you have sorted the front. I would start again, steering wheel off, centre the box with the bolt again and track it using one of the methods above. Then drive it to ProTyre or elsewhere who have a four wheel alignment machine and get a check or get them to set the front. You will get a print out of all the positions of your wheels, mine showed toe out on the wheel that was hit and we used this to claim a new axle case from the insurers. Also measures between hub centres so you get a full picture of what`s going on.
  9. Start, then you will feel better.
  10. I have the AA app on my phone, report your breakdown and they pin point you on a O.S map. I would have thought the RAC would have the same thing.
  11. I fitted a Britpart fuel tank to my 90 a couple of weeks ago, it was a perfect fit, much to my surprise . No leaks yet, even after filling it up past the level of the flange! Two weeks and counting.
  12. Utopia.......Video it,report to Police resulting in succesful prosecution.Culprit is reformed by the whole experience and accepts his 5yr ban,£2000 fine and the scrapping of his car gracefully. Real world........ I would not confront him because i would not want him knowing my place of business,if the law do nail him he may want to get even and your property is an easy target for him.Remember you are dealing with an unknown quantity. Video it and have a word with your local Bobbys and get their work mobile no. while you are at it. Good luck, makes the blood boil doesn`t it!
  13. Yes, those are the ones. They simply bolt to the existing exhaust mount brackets and in the case of the rear silencer the offside chassis rail mount was already in place on my chassis,i just bolted the hanger to it. Would photos help you make your mind up? My chassis is a 1984 2 1/4 petrol.
  14. i fitted a 200tdi exhaust to my early 90 chassis with no mods, just needed to buy brackets.
  15. I have just done this job for the first time too. Tips and advice.....Bearmach stainless pistons and genuine seal kits, buy more seal kits than you need. Do not bother to split them unless you want to paint them.If you have seized pistons blow them out with an air line, place a block of wood between the two halves and keep your fingers clear. Clean the calipers before removing pistons and bleed nipple.I fitted mine by winding them in with a G clamp and a fat washer.
  16. Given the results in your first post you need to do the next step as described above......with the ign off remove the ecu plug and ground pin 12 on the plug, check for battery voltage on pin87 of the main relay. If the relay triggers you will get battery volts at 87 on the relay,if you do then check the ecu earths, pins 14 40 27. if good earths then suspect ecu. If you get 0v at 87 then suspect the relay. Get a Bosch one if it is the relay, don`t buy an allmakes one as they had a batch where the wrong type of 5 pin relay was in the bag.
  17. I had to do this for the first time recently. All the info you need is in the diagram and fault finding routine you found on here. As i understand it, the ecu grounds pin 12 to energise the relay, follow the guide to the next step according to your readings. That is, REMOVE the ecu plug and ground pin 12 on the plug, this should energise the relay...take it from there, good luck.
  18. Yes i have experienced similar symptoms in my 200tdi 90. You do not say what colour your smoke was but i presume blue as you mentioned burning oil. I went to the Alps last year and spent a week driving tracks and was alarmed to find my recently fitted, just run in, Turner engine bellowing blue smoke! Mine smoked going up and going down.It smoked less when decending off the throttle and condiderably more when on it but seemed to smoke constantly. When down in a valley on tarmac there would be lots of smoke under accelaration for a K or two then clear to normal,ie no visible smoke of any colour. When we left Italy we drove around France before coming home via Calais,no smoke on the journey or since! With us was a td5 90 that smoked,a lot less than mine as the driver did not notice himself. a d2 td5 no smoke. 200tdi in a series no smoke. and a nad, no smoke. I spoke to some one who goes there every year who said he has seen it many times before and that some do it and others do not. When driving mountain tracks I did notice that, although engine revs were as for normal driving, the egt was always low and the coolant was not reaching normal temps (vdo temp gauge),apart from that no other symptoms.
  19. You may actually need a bucket if you view this....you have been warned. http://www.ebay.co.u...013%26rk%3D1%26 edited to add....quality description too!
