  1. My understanding was as BM said, the injectors are pressurised internally by the camshaft/pushrods etc, the control of the amount of fuel injected is down to the solenoids.
  2. I might be after two, a friend might be after one as well. I can email the guy for a group discount maybe, he's already knocking off the cost of the wire rope, on the basis its more expensive to ship on the winch, than its worth. What i'd like to find out is, how much will the tax be, and then of course there's VAT on top of the lot. Any ideas or info?
  3. Thats the '70 series' 12,000 lb milemarker, just the winch on its own. Exactly the same as Mr Murray sells, as far as i know. not that i've ever had much help/conversation out of him.
  4. BT will let you use third party SMTP, i set an account up just like you want last week.
  5. £363 for a 12k Lb Milemarker, just the winch itself.
  6. Whilst we're on the subject, does anyone know the ins and outs of shipping a couple of bare (no wire, no pipes or valves) Milemarker winches in? Does anyone know how they'd be classed for tax purposes - agricultural, or otherwise etc?
  7. It's LRM's, not Deano's, if you read the text.
  8. Normally refered to as O E M..
  9. You could always fit a diesel fuelled heater, to any age of defender.
  10. Save the money and play dump valve sounds on your stereo - that's all this guy is doing it for. There is absolutely no point what so ever to fitting a dump valve to a diesel engine.
  11. Yes 255/85R16 will fit the arch well and be fine on the road, they'll rub on articulation though. Depends how high the curbs are in the carpark i suppose...
  12. truck airline, cellar/pub fittings, pneumatic control fittings - all the same stuff. The axle breather hole is 1/8", I used 6mm pipe and push fit connectors. I bought a reel of pipe (20m) as thats plenty enough to both axles, boxes, bellhousing, timing case etc. components can be bought from people like RS Cromwells Thorite
  13. Pull the rear half shafts for a start, or jack up a corner in turn, spin it and watch what happens.
  14. 'Bog roll' tube notching with two cuts
  15. Congratulations to the team!! Does anyone know if Petal is coming home, or when the team is due back at Harwich? It'd be good to sort a welcoming party.
  16. Or Universal, or Heavy, depending on the metal thickness...
  17. It's a very useful site indeed, lots of information on welders/welding/MIG/MAG/TIG/gas etc.
  18. Argoshield is a trade name, other suppliers do an Argon/CO2 mix, sometimes with a few % of nitrogen too. Most suppliers have the same range, light through to heavy, with a 'universal' (usually the one available in smaller sizes) thrown in the mix too.
  19. Shunt ammeters are much much better than the usual (cheaper) type, as Roger says, they require only low current (thin) wiring to the gauge which is much safer, and much better, as the main supply cable is kept as short as possible. They are however, quite expensive. They're used a lot in the marine industry where the gauge/monitoring system is a large physical distance from the battery/alternator.
  20. Power-store, the online wing of Merlin Electronics, have all the bits you could need. decent quality kit, marine graded. Power Post Bus Bars
