  1. That seems like a very interesting price, delivered into Malta ! Hope all Customs formalities etc are included as they do seem to add up for stuff from the UK coming into the EU. Please keep us updated.
  2. Why not get a new galvanized bulkhead from France ? There is an importer for both galvanized chassis (MAER in stock) and bulkheads (DDS and Richards). I think they have one in stock and transport / duties would be less perhaps.. Give Richard a shout on "message@4x4chassisetpieces.fr" You never know - perhaps that would work for you.
  3. My OneTen was eventually fitted with a "plastic" tank for the Td5. Fits OK, you need to make a small mod. but no real issues. We also fitted a Series filler with the "extension" for easier filling with jerrycans.
  4. You, Sir, have many hidden talents. Very, very nice !
  5. These days there are sensors for everything, so I wouldn't be surprised if there is a sensor that kills off movement when it thinks there is too much oil...
  6. Made a few looms myself and it is not that difficult if you're not into originality. Earth is the big issue with the standard loom so that must be solved. A label printer is a huge help, as is a database / spreadsheet with what is what.
  7. We're working on 4,50 mtrs. between floor and underside ceiling / trusses etc. for our workshop.
  8. Mr. R. Turner knows what he's talking about.
  9. Chalk works. Used to run the OneTen on 2.75 bar all round
  10. Looks like you've had a good trip !
  11. In the '80s I flew as a steward with horses professionally and those were good times. Also, each month to the ME with 400 sheep.... Later, for a friend, in the '08s - '11s to help her out and things were quite different. As long as the owners weren't there, usu. very good flights
  12. Flying with horses..... The good old days.
  13. Passing through Liege (Luik) this Sunday afternoon......
  14. Welcome to the forum - plenty of people here with vast amounts of knowledge. The PS 10 is a very good vehicle and well known in southern Europe and Africa. The roofs could be different but you really need to have them side by side - you can ask Alu-Cab if they can supply you one for the PS10. However, you mention an Ex with loads of tools and pop up roofs are not that hard to make and will be less money in most cases. Depending on model, there are several engine types to choose from and I suggest you drive a few before parting with money. The 2.8 versions are very nice.... Good luck.
  15. A good set up 2.5 ltr. petrol is a joy to drive and should last you a very long time. Like the others said, give it a very, very good ervice and, in doubt, lift the head to see inside and overhaul it while it is off. Most V8's you'll find now are oldish units and will need work - so you might aswell keep it simple and keep that 2.5. Any chance of pictures ?
  16. For the Hulco trailers we have a choise between "wooden floors" or "composite floors" Price difference between a 2 x 4 mtrs. trailer floor is about € 130 Composite ones don't rot but don't like sharpish impacts..
  17. Pity there is no reply from the OP....
  18. Would love to come but it is a bit of a drive.....
  19. I know ! on my to do list But time / etc......
  20. Yes, Holland is tiny compared to the travels we have to do here... Often not so much the KMs but the hours as lots is not motorway.. Minus 5 C all day but beautifully sunny
  21. Ambulance. Or armoured. Machinery, cherry picker (these seriously roll I can assure you), etc. Anything that would make it roll more than a standard body would do.
  22. Used them a lot in the past and they in general need a lot airflow to work nicely.. But blasting stuff is a very good, if boring, job
  23. If your other SIM works fine in the phone, chances are it is the SIM card / the network for that card. Try the SIM in another phone if you can and see what happens. IF it doesn't work in that phone either, it seems card / network settings are at fault
  24. Welcome to the Madhouse. Please post a picture of the vehicle - we love overseas builds.. Importing and registering (Immatriculation) are 2 very different things. The import process depends greatly on how you move to France. Are you taking residency here, long stay, how long have you had the vehicle ? You may qualify for exemption of duty or TVA is part of the removal.... Assembled in Kenya you say, but what are the first 8 characters of your VIN ? Is the vehicle modified - in other words : not as it left the plant in Kenya. This will tell me what route you could take here in France. In short, we need more info please to give a correct answer.
