If you have a 300Tdi, then you don’t need an expensive conversion - the standard parts are usually up to the task unless they have been damaged or contaminated.  Standard is usually cheaper and easier to source, guaranteed to fit and not cause any strange effects or complications.  Just buy good quality, like Valeo or Borg and Beck (genuine parts).  They were good enough for military and emergency service use all over the world, utility companies and the Camel Trophy, so will be sufficient for any Defender with a Tdi and regular transmission.

I had a Borg and Beck clutch from a reputable source. The metal centre of the clutch friction plate gradually fell apart until the clutch failed - it was low mileage and not hard worked. Valeo for me from now on.....

I've known a Borg and Beck one go inside 12 months... I've also wiped the center out of a Valeo 130 pressure plate.

@slon4eto

You are asking technical questions about a company's product that few people know the answer to.

I suggest you contact LoF clutches and put your technical questions about their products in an email.

They should be able to answer your questions.

Clutchfix is my latest but if I’m honest it replaced a 50k +standard cheap clutch which never gave any issues

My clutchfix clutch is at 70k miles and still happily pull over 4 ton off road around farms.
