Somebody sent me this by email yesterday, its the river that runs through Dad's farm, recently had a shiny 40 tonne bridge built across it at a cost of several hundred thousand pounds, but of course somebody decided they would go through the pass...

At high tide...

When the river backs up quite a bit with salt water....

By this time Bobs wife had to concede that the blue line on the road map was not actually a motorway ...

or

Not one for wasting money at the local car wash ...

or

Bob was disappointed with his purchase of 'floatation tyres' ...

or

... so I said to this frog 'how deep is the water?' He said it was only 'NEEDEEP' which on a frog isn't much at all ...

Sod the Landy. That's a Mabey Johnson bridge isn't it? Who put it up? And what load class is it? I built (not on my own) 1 of those over a 100m span back in 1996. Absalute brilliant bridge to build. Just a big meccano kit. Based on the old Bailley bridge.

Any more pics would be good.
