jbs
Had to replace a bulb in her Disco-the one behind the heater controls, without the card it would've cost me £1.99, And with my card it cost me 46p-that to me is well worth having the card for
Retroanaconda
I've had a belter today in my local Halfrauds My son again wanted some of these high power ultra bright headlamp bulbs they do under their own brand name, £20 each, but buy one get one free, so not to bad, also a set of Bosch wiper blade's for his Peugeot 106 Quicksilver bass bin thing, gets to the counter presents the trade card followed by the debit card, "thats £44 please sir", "Whoa, hang on pal what for ?", turns out the lamps are not but one get one on the trade card so you pall full whack minus a bit of discount, so its actually cheaper without the card, work that one out, beats me. That's right, none of the buy-one-get-one-free deals or other special offers take effect with the card. Always worth checking what the price will be with the card and without
Mo Murphy
Is the quality the same for all the Pro/Advanced tools? I'm looking at treating myself to a big set of screw drivers for Xmas. Ross if you get down there sharpish, they had a set of pro screwdrivers for 1.99, they looked like the same ones they were giving away with their own brand oil a little while ago. Looked to me like they were getting shot of left overs. Mo
Retroanaconda
My local store has the same offer Mo. Or they did yesterday anyhow Ross, I have this quite comprehensive set: http://www.screwfix.com/prods/65310/Hand-Tools/Screwdrivers/Screwdriver-Sets/General-Purpose-Sets/Screwdriver-Set-Chrome-Vanadium-49Pc
GBMUD
Turns out a trade card is worth nothing on their over-priced number plates and they do not keep thermostats for Transit vans. Chris

HoggyN
I had the misfortune to have my wallet nicked just before Christmas, complete with my Halfords trade card. After reading some of the posts on here I thought I was going to have a right old game getting a replacement. Not a bit of it, I called in my local branch, told them what had happened and they set me up with a new card there and then. Excellent customer service. sotal
Just got the 150 peice Pro Socket Set based on the positive reviews the advanced kit gets on here, Normal Price: £199.99 - Trade Price: £97.49 Also Got a pair of adapters (1/2 inch down to 3/8 and 3/8 down to 1/4) again in the pro range. Normal Price: £4.19 - Trade Price: £3.35 Also got a couple of Bottles of 10w40 Part synth Oil, and a bottle of coolant (not sure on prices of the top of my head but saved about £15 off these in total) It was a bit of a toss up between the 120 peice at £89.99 or the 150 at £97.49, I was worried that all you got for the extra was just some screwdriver bits and allen keys so ended up working it out first. For the Extra £8 or so you get: 16mm Spanner 15mm Spanner 8/10mm Ratchet Spanner 12/13mm Ratchet Spanner 17/19mm Ratchet Spanner 19mm 3/8 Deep Socket 4mm 1/4 Deep Socket 5mm 1/4 Deep Socket 6mm 1/4 Deep Socket 7mm 1/4 Deep Socket 11mm 1/4 Deep Socket 10 x Allen Keys 9 x Bits So seemed worth it! ChrisB
I too went to Halfords today, bought Hammerite special metals primer - 30% ish off, and a tub of copper ease - 50% off with trade card. However they don't stock small ID vacuum tubing in any sensible length. I need 10ft or so to replace all the perished pipe for the cruise control on the disco. Retroanaconda
That's not bad pricing. I bought some big spanners last year, 28 and 30mm I think, ended up getting Britool ones from my local factors. Brilliant quality but I think they were about £12 - 14 each! Certainly more than the prices you've listed.

Retroanaconda
Yes, the rest of my 'nice' spanner set are Halfords Pro and I've been very happy with them. Wish I'd done the same as you now, as then they'd match
