Nigelw
You'd have thought for 7k they could have corrected the picture rotations and got some a little less blurry..
CwazyWabbit
You'd have thought for 7k they could have corrected the picture rotations and got some a little less blurry.. You're kidding right? 7K for a Defender that can drive up a 90 degree incline or drive completely inverted is an absolute bargain! I can forgive the blur for that sort of ability ... Nigelw
Probably one for the heater Nigel If youre wading that deep the heater is the last of your problems
CwazyWabbit
Lol, I know this however it doesn't do wonders for the blower motor when you get a tidal wave over the bonnet and in through the air vents. You also get a fully steamed up screen so you can't see out.
mad_pete
I thought the power from the heater plus the tight panel seals created a positive pressure preventing water ingress to the cabin? ;-)
CwazyWabbit
You are of course correct Pete, that's why we have so many problems with defenders floating off all the time
Nigelw
I like this. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LAND-ROVER-1983-WHITE-UNITED-NATIONS-PETROL-LPG/221717448682?_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D29273%26meid%3D8fe604cf65814450bca42b593b9db23d%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D6%26sd%3D121599420119&rt=nc memories of the old farm pick up, bales of hay, bottles of ginger beer and a girl called Joanne, oh to reminisce
Anderzander
You are of course correct Pete, that's why we have so many problems with defenders floating off all the time I left mine running with the heater on full blast once and got back just in time ... The thing had expanded out like a balloon ........ On the plus side - the outrush of air when I got the door open dried my hair.

Nigelw
Only worth it from the point of refurbed to a high standard in factory form with tasteful mods to bring it current, and reap some rewads in a couple of years, or run it yourself, but yeah, I totaled it up at a £6,000 motor all done and maybe more depending on how far you went?
