  1. As per title. I have seen them But where to get them / Part No. please ?
  2. I really needed to get out and have a bit of a break. So took the OneTen out for a spin. Found a place for the lunch break.. Met with a group of German / Russian occupied LR's who saw me parked in the shades and asked if they could join me for lunch.. Of course they could and this "lunch meet" ran into the afternoon as we enjoyed the P&Q, talked about life in general and had a good time. Based in Germany, they usually go into RU to visit friends & family but not now. So they made do with a "round the Alps Tour" but found the driving not as much fun as they'd hoped. Always interesting to see how people from fifferent countries can unite when they have LR's in common. We eventually broke up - they are a good bunch and we had a lot of laughs - aswell as some serious talks- and I went up a bit for the night as I'd planned where to sleep. These clouds come from the Suza valley where it is hot and the air goes up and over the dam where the Cenis Reservoir water cools the hot air off and you end up in wet & cold clouds / fog very quickly. You literally see the clouds forming for your eyes while you sit there. Obviously, food was needed so the burner came out. I'd left most of the kitchen home as it was only 1 night away this time so please excuse the messy rear. Next morning it was time to go home again...🙄 All-in-all, some 1,100 kms. - or about 700 miles - in a day and a half without problems. Going into the Alps again in September for a Birthday Bash ($%^$@%^$#^@#^% Virus disclaimer applies...) and that could be very cold... P.S. For the very few that wonder (I doubt it though....) where the OneTen lift up roof is.... In the workshop, awaiting the Mrs. to find time to modify the fabric. Once that is done, it is roof swop day and getting the fabric in. Hope to show some pics late this year but work keeps getting in the way..
  3. It is very, very pale / white. Not to my liking - but who am I.. I understand the need for updates - and you guys work very hard to give us this forum - but why change the looks / feel... Bon Courage !
  4. You can do this as complicated or simple as you want.. Drill a hole in the floor deep - but not through the concrete - insert a M14 - M16 bolt in the floor all the way down with chemical anchor stuff with an eye on it and it will do in most cases. Let it dry out for a few days and test.
  5. I think it needs to be "build" where they can do it for the best quality / retail price. "Building" it outside the EU in a "3rd country" makes it more expensive for the EU market (Import Duty 10/20/25 %). IF that is where they think they'll be selling most (EU) it makes sense - if they think US is the place to sell, they'll do it there. Also, the EU has many trade agreements with most countries on trade, tariffs, homologations and sorts of legal rulings making trade easier. Where to "build" is a matter of logistics, costs, politics and all that - not a lot of room for emotions I'm afraid... And, let's face it, "build" is really not the word IMHO for this as most components (engines, transmissions, axles, chassis) are made elsewhere and it is more a logistical puzzle and putting it together...
  6. £ 1692 = about € 1871. Serious money
  7. Yes - for them. I guess the majority of sales is outside Canada so very, very few warranty claims will be dealt with by them. If I were to buy € 2k of overdrive I would hope it has the best quality parts they could find - not just those to outlast the warranty period..
  8. Hmmmm. serious money for cheap bearings. thanks
  9. What sort of money are we talking about for these Roamerdrives, please ?
  10. Iveco 40-10 based by a well known French supplier
  11. Arjan

    RAL 5228

TTBOMK has LR always stayed away from the RAL standards.
  12. They're getting a bit mature, the 40-10's, and corrosion is a serious issue with them...
  13. "..I emailed Iveco and never had a response..." No, comms with Iveco requires a lot of patience and persistence. Articulation is not bad but the lockers are there for a reason.
  14. Link works for me. We're looking a the moment getting a Daily 4x4 for work (and some play..) They're very good.
  15. No idea how this will work from Jan 1 onwards. Now, what you suggest is under EU law forbidden. ( he didn’t quite get the idea and left the original invoice on the packaging,) Sometimes less expensive, sometimes not. Warranty is problem.
  16. Bit lost here as why there is a problem.. However, there is a number of routes to go - combined alternator / steeringpump units, electric pumps, etc. Wallet content, legal restrictions and creativity basically decide what route to take
  17. Not the best of weekends obviously.. No people harmed is most important though.
  18. Yes - you need to worry a bit about oil etc. Once vehicle is back on it's wheel, check all fluids and see if you can turn the engine "by hand" just to make sure.... What caused the roll if I may ask ?
  19. I seem to remember reading somebody who'd done just that. Involved cutting both front & rear using the wheearch as the reference point Not easy - but should be doable. Interesting project
