Can normally pick a load up second hand cheaply from building sites where they use them for signage etc and then using your skills you could make a die to form them in the shape you want and make a couple of sets up for when/if you bend them. They are light, stiff and strong. The Alu faces can also be easily painted

The Alu faces can also be easily painted I have some of that and the instructions say you have to cut the internal joint aluminium away to form shapes I could use 3mm aluminium and then bond some insertion rubber onto it, but the same issue remains once bent it is to reshape, plus you also stand to deform some of the lighter panels such as the ones I made yesterday Regards Stephen

TD5toV8110
Hey Stephen, Looking good as always..... But...... Galvanic corrosion on the earth strap connections..... (it will start where the ss bolt touches the ally panel and moisture is present) Maybe use some boaty stuff like Tef-Gel or maybe Anti Seize/coppersilp or similar. Australia day here! 🤪 Cheers Dave

Popular Post Stellaghost
Started fitting my @FridgeFreezer not for me shelving today What a bloody hassle and only one done so far First some aluminium strip to go on the inside to stop rivets pulling through Now in position Masking tape Then some sikaflex to tidy the joint up it's not quite as neat as I would have liked, but it's on and staying on until or if I get something better regards Stephen

L19MUD
Looks good. You won't know until you flex it again but is there any risk of the rear part hitting the tyre and the tyre then ripping it off? Might need a slight trim?
Stellaghost
Well the nearside front was a hell of a lot easier than the rear Both nearside on, not looking too bad Regards Stephen

Tim94
Looking pretty good! Maybe another possibily to use in the future may be 2 or 3mm HDPE sheet. Seems to be a little bit more rigid then rubber belt, but still flexible etc.
Popular Post Stellaghost
Front nearside shot with bonnet back on Adding the wheel arch makes it look less wide now I think, granted a good bit wider than a standard lightweight, but not too bad overall Standard lightweight 59" wide Sid 74" wide Disco 1 70" Quietly pleased the way the width has turned out....
