Help !!

Can anyone advise wtf these are called / wheee to get them 

 

they are off a very late D2 diff and are not sold by LR !

 

approx dimensions are 

 

width 16mm

height 13.73mm

thickness 1.15mm

if I could just find something close to buy but really struggling 

all dimensional flexible - the of as is whacked into a casing hole the height as I can adjust it and thickness not cricjal

 

help !!!!

I don't know the correct name but that's the sort of thing for keeping a control knob on a pot on an old fashioned radio or cooker. I (carefully)googled ' control knob spring clip' and some were returned.

I take it it's for aligninging casings?  It's a split dowel sleeve.

You could try an agri' or plant dealers or a machine shop.

If its use is just as a dowel, could not a person with a lathe produce something similar, ok not sprung, but maybe loctited into place?

They look similar to head locating dowels.  Turner Engineering might have something a similar size, as may your local engineering workshop.  The kink in the slot would not be essential to its function - I suspect that just ensures the ends line up evenly as it gets closed in the bore, but a tap on the end with a hammer would do that.
