Birthday list

Recommended Posts

Within what sort of price range?

How old are you?

It's hard enough to think of prezzies for people you do know - never mind those you don't!

Tools generally are the most useful and come in a wide variety of prices - but only you know what is useful that you've not already got!

I will be 20 :).

Got a rear locker already :).

Upto ~£200-250

Anyone got anything small and land rover related they wouldnt be without?

hahaha, are you serious... you need advice on what you need to buy for your truck...! I have a list as long as my arm of bits n pieces that need replacing/buying... to be honest I doubt there will ever be a day when that list runs out...

Decent quality battery drill

Battery Impact driver

Grinder

Bench top pillar drill

Bench Saw

Mig Welder

I want your friends and family. With mine it's more like £20 to £25!

Recovery kit is always a winner, as you'll always wear out strops and lose shackles. I reckon tools are great too, spanner sets, socket sets, big hammers etc.

Not knowing what kit you have already, some more off road essentials are:

Winch + rope + blanket + free spool

Hi Lift jack

CB radio

Under body protection - diffs, tanks, steering

On board air

Tis my birthday today and I asked for/received:

MUD-STUFF heated mirrors, drinks holder, LED light

QT diff guards [front and back]. My they are some beastly things, excited about putting them on.

2 selection sets of ratchet spanners - one imperial, one metric

Mud-stuff has loads of really cool things that are usually cheap and good presents.

Now with the outstanding bday money I am either going to get a decent tow rope, an X-brake, or chuck it into the galvanised chassis fund.

I have heated mirrors... I think. I have wires going into each mirror... how do they work? automatically on with the ignition or attached with heated screen switch?

As a non Land Rover item but perhaps an even more essential bit of kit howz about getting yourself a really decent softshell or full gortex coat and some top notch waterproof trowsers/boots if you don't have them already? I have a columbia softshell jacket that I got earlier this year and wouldn't be without that or my for that matter Gillett now!

Depends how they have been wired up. Best you speak to the previous owner.
