  1. if they stick one of them up round here it will still last about a week before its burnt and chopped up! All the cameras round here are safe as long as they aren't turned on, as soon as they flash people they last a few days, i went home the other day and saw one flash for the first time in months, on my return journey later that day it had been cut off about a foot above the floor, burnt and thrown over the barrier part of me cant help thinking i might have found another use for those hydraulic jaws of life things.... mike
  2. Hi Looks like i might be going from Liverpool to Redditch via Northwich and back again this weekend, if anyone needs anything moving, downside is i will be in a Mini (proper one) or a Polo so small and CLEAN only Mike
  3. sorry not be more help but AFAIK they come in a couple of standard sizes, have you tried asking the motor factors for a couple of different standard nipples?
  4. try 'get connected plugs' on ebay, £3 each for 175A ones, and he does postage discount! mike

  6. hi there seem to be a few people cropping up on the wirral, I live in aigburth at the mo but am moving over the water in the next few months, rob you should see some of the kids where i am now... they can change wheels faster than an F1 pit crew mike
  7. looks like si needs to get on with the X-ABS brake kit then mike
  8. as pugwash said, nearest big town will do... surely anyone after your millions could just follow the trail of ep90 back to yours les? mike
  9. echo the above really, except to add that its always useful to have a few spare with you, i dont mean go over the top and take a head gasket but an alternator belt, tyre weld, bulbs, instant gasket, oils and water (and RAC card )would be reasonable. Also no point in taking a first aid kit uless you learn how to use it! Mike
  10. Hi I'd be willing to participate, I have been on both sides quite a bit, I am mainly based in merseyside or cheshire but regularly go to telford, birmingham and north wales, i'd be happy to be on a map and can store bits within reason (no offshore drill platforms Nige ) Mike
  11. I have been greenlaning with him before, had a great (long) day out on some amazing lanes but I cant comment on the site because I have never been there, he had his green 110 when we went laning, i remember him being a really nice bloke who couldn't do enough for you, that was 3 years ago though, mike btw he sent me my video a couple of weeks later
  12. I cant remember who it was that recommended cilit bang but i got some on a whim when i was in asda and tried it yesterday when i was doing the seals on my brake cylinders and it worked really well, it works as effectively as white spirit but is much kinder to your hands, it is more expensive than white spirit though.... vaseline is good for battery terminals and electrics not strictly domestic but haemostats used for clamping arteries are very good for clamping any hoses Mike
  13. I have a brand new set with a 1/2 impact wrench, 3/8 ratchet, 1/4 die grinder, plus sockets and stones, all by SIP industrial, brand new in box bought with my new compressor and are duplicates for what i already have £85 + p&p Mike

  16. i had very good service from turbo centre Mike
  17. you've got to admire the cheek 'approximately' 20Hp more ie no guarantee claims, you'd probably get them same power gain and better filtering if you removed your filter altogether mike
  18. hmmm did you by any chance have an overwhelming urge to go and buy a lion bar and a bag of monster munch?
  19. Hi thats probably because most forum members dont live in london, so its not as much a priority for most, I agree it sucks but i cant help feeling that resistance is futile, and that whatever you do another law will come along making it just that bit harder to keep using your landy... I did suggest fitting 2 batteries and an electric winch, and the crucial mains leccy hook up, then you can re register your landy as a hybrid, as (providing you have a tree/anchor) you can move the vehicle using electricity Mike
  20. unfortunately round here car security is a bit of a waste of time as they usually use a HIAB or beavertail and are gone within 30 seconds mike
  21. I'd spray it if i were you and leave the dents alone, it cost me £50 for 5L of synthetic coach enamel, thinners, and panel wipe. rub down paintwork with 400 grit to provide a key for the paint... dont go through the paint. mix your paint up as per the data sheet (comes with the paint), or get it as (several) aerosols spray how it tells you to on the data sheet (prob want 3 coats, spray the first coat VERY lightly) give it a couple of days to harden fully thats it normal masking tape is fine for errr masking try and minimise dust, you wont get a professional finish but if your careful you can get reasonably close, Mike
  22. hi general purpose lithium based high melting point grease mike
  23. cost you a lot to put even a simple roof on, which might be hard because it looks like an odd shape in the pics, also youd want to pour a concrete floor, whats the access like? I pay 150pm for a barn with a concrete floor thats about 3 lwb landys long and about 20ft wide, and it has an upstairs for storage, IMHO i would keep looking, theres bound to be more out there Mike
