  1. the upto ja chassis number is actually last of the 200tdi in 1992 so you need the ja onwards parts
  2. Have you checked the hose from intercooler to manifold. They break up inside and block off the air intake.
  3. With handbrake on and gearbox in neutral jack up 1 front wheel and see if it turns freely. If not then check centre diff lock is not engaged, could be transmission wind up which is killing diffs
  4. Harmonic balancer. As disco is heavier i suspect its to do with the weight as defender never had them.
  5. https://www.mdengineering.co.uk/shop/miscellaneous/chassis-bracket-kit-300tdi/ give them a call, they may sell just the jig
  6. You can get template that bolts on and then place mount on chassis and weld on. Will try and find a link
  7. Either of those gasket makers are good quality. stay away from the multi layered steel gaskets though on a 300
  8. Check wing repeaters are both working and are standard bulbs. its to do with the dash bulb wiring and as led draw little current it can pass power through the dash bulb. removal of the dash bulb will confirm
  9. If you swap axle from a td5 onward era you need it to be from a 110 as its a 4pin diff, the casing and diff length is different but a later prop will fit.
  10. Has it dried out and shrunk from being in storage for so long
  11. I must be lucky, my 110 is a 1989 and it still works well, can hide an over loaded rear axle easy with them though so got to be careful
  12. If wing repeater is working then the power is coming out the stalk. it will be connection issues.
  13. Check fluid level, looks like your loosing initial fluid transfer. what engine and box fitted
  14. I had an accident in the disco which ripped the rear 1/4 off so i just fitted a tub i had available to keep it on the road
  15. I made 1 fit my series 3 by using an early 90 brake pedal tower and servo. The series master fitted directly to the servo. Once i fitted the pedal it was a direct fit apart from the return on the left of the pedal lock needed 10 mm removing to allow it to fold a bit more
  16. X eng do the gearstick lock. also the pedal lock will also hold the brakes on if servo is pumped out.
  17. Think they ceased production due to no sales as the cost was stupid.
  18. Dvla will still change to motorcaravan but they want pictures and have a list of items that should be fitted. A fixed toilet being 1 of the items. if its type approval is n1 and its gvw is 3050 then class 7 if its m1 its class 4 if they try registering it on the mot computer it will tell them what class it is
  19. Thats my disco that i put tub on after an accident, plan was to make a roll cage to sit in behind the doors. I cut rear crossmember off and fitted a 90 crossmember. I then sold it and new owner painted it all 1 colour
  20. Agree about warranty. Bearmach wont cover bushes that lasted 6 days even though when given batch number they stated theres an issue with that batch. ive yet to have to send any britpart bits back.
  21. Even osram state not legal as they are not ece approved.
  22. As a recently retired tester who asked dvsa about the led bulbs fitted into a headlamp designed for a halogen lamp and how they stated hid is an immediate fail, they also said an led light source is not compatible with a halogen lamp unit so is also a fail. ive tested a few with led headlight bulbs and the pattern is generally awful and incorrect anyway. they were marginally better with headlamps which had the pattern in the glass rather than reflector. retro fitted led bulbs or light units in indicators, brakes, sidelights are all ok for mot.
  23. Any recommendations for a dab aerial, prefer roof mounted to get a better signal, but would need to mount it in front of the sunroof as got 3/4 length roof rack fitted.
