  1. I've only ever seen them on the diff.
  2. Same, very happy with our Alpicool T50. Only real "issue" with it is the fridge part gets a bit too cold when the freezer is running. Quite often had frozen milk.
  3. How are the aerodynamics now that you modified the front? Noticeably better?
  4. https://incartec.co.uk/Landrover/Discovery-II/Stereo-Upgrade-Single-Din/Pioneer-Single-din/Landrover-Discovery-2-BMW-Cassette I've used their stuff on my P38. Could be you have to go to a different section depending on what type of radio youbwant to install, the link is for Pioneer.
  5. I was 12 or so, liked The Simpsons, and my name is Ben, in that time around here shortened to "Bekke". So I became El Bekko (instead of El Barto). And it stuck around.
  6. Tell that to the ones I used on my veranda roof and broke by looking at them after 2 summers.
  7. The bits of chassis you can see, the axle ends you can see, the springs and perches you can see - all scream coiler Land Rover to me.
  8. 3-axles are nice and stable, I've done a fair bit of towing with @Escape's 3-axle Ifor TB. The biggest downside is manoeuvering on uneven surfaces, it'll swap the wheel it's pivoting on on a whim, which can be a bit annoying. And seconded with the lashing points, it could really do with a bit of holesaw treatment. Overall: go as big in size and capacity as you can get away with, you'll never regret having a trailer that's slightly too big for the load.
  9. That's concerning. Seems like a design flaw in the bracket, then?
  10. Honestly doesn't look like that bad a fix? It'll take up most of the tensile forces on that weld, and definitely looks chunky enough to do it. It's like a little axle truss on the bottom of the axle.
  11. Same on my GLE, the eye for the safety cable is attached to the towball that comes out electrically. AFAIK there's no other eyes closer to the chassis, might have to look into adding something... When I installed the tow bar on my E-class, there was an eye that bolted to the non-removable part, that was much better.
  12. The ebay seller is effectively getting them at half price, and the original seller is losing 1/2 of his sales income.
  13. That's an understatement. I used it on my bumper build, and it scratches off like crazy. I think when I redo the paint I'll try some 2K primer + finish.
  14. I've been wary of Temu (like all things that are advertised heavily), but it looks like it's just AliExpress with some added privacy concerns. I wouldn't install the app, but ordering from the website is probably alright for non-essential stuff.
  15. When parked at home, I always make sure to disable my GLE's key, it's a double tap on the lock button. No risk of replay attacks then. I'm guessing the same is possible on a modern Land Rover?
  16. Agreed, wouldn't want something going very bang underneath, and also losing air pressure at the same time.
  17. That's actually really interesting for unrelated reasons. @Escape, it might be the Jag's issue after all.
  18. That's an impressive break (Coming from someone that split his in half on a rock) Something must've been severely binding in there?
  19. Just a bit. Laning in Belgium has all but disappeared over the past decade. In Flanders you mainly need to look out for the dreaded blue sign with a tractor on it (you're not allowed in there) and signs for private roads. In Wallonia you're basically not even allowed to be between trees - you're not allowed to drive in forests, and the definition is loose enough that they can basically get you for having a row of trees on both sides. Don't trust Wikiloc blindly. There's a lot of outdated routes, as well as a lot of routes from people that don't care about legality... I'll be impressed if you can find much greenlaning-wise around the battlefields.
