  1. From the same people as the above link that no longer seems to work. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/230826227387?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2648
  2. Just fitted the number plate light, well made, sealed, bright, all round a vast improvement on the original.
  3. I see lots of Chinese stuff come in to the workshop, and it's very difficult to know what is good and what isn't. For example Honda, Briggs and Stratton and Toro all have very good engines built in China. Whereas Stihl and Ryobi have some complete rubbish built there. (Sorry Stihl fans but in future check where it's built before spending your money) Then there is the stuff that makes Ryobi look good, such as Spear & Jackson and most of the DIY store own brands. Most of these the box is worth more than the carp inside.
  4. Reminds me, one of mine fell out the other day, must get a new one. Never had trouble putting them in before, just spat on them and pushed them in.
  5. When I fitted a brand new TDi retrofit kit, I just filled it up and started it. Last time I saw it it had done over 100K on that engine and it was still like new. (C206KAR if anyone knows where it is now?)
  6. Which means you will never get all the air out, not even by pressure bleeding. Also I wouldn't use a banjo fitting if it wasn't designed for it, as getting it square to the thread so that it seals would be very difficult.
  7. Yes it should swap over fine, but I wouldn't bother. Having had my X-Brake for many years now I wouldn't even spit on the standard one to fix it!
  8. I think the bores should have survived that, but the mains and ends don't take very long to fail with no oil pressure. As CW says, I would check everything though just to be certain.
  9. If it isn't losing any fluid it could still be the master cylinder. I have known them to leak back into the reservoir for a while before it starts to show on the outside.
  10. Or if it's the other end you're thinking about (the drum assy) don't bother. Just fit an X-Brake.
  11. Well it still isn't leaking, now getting slightly concerned that something else is about to go wrong!
  12. As they are e marked correctly there should be no problem with mot, after all mine has passed for several years with led's in the standard units with all clear lenses.
  13. When I fitted a sunroof in my old 110, I used door seal rubber. I split it lengthways and then fitted the part that clips to the door frame on to the roof lining, then opened up the now split tubular part and tucked it into the groove in the sunroof, fixing it in place with a length of the rubber filling strip from a windscreen rubber. It cost me nothing as it was all leftovers from my kit car building days, but I remember it came from a place in Tunbridge Wells.
  14. Had a sticking relief valve on the 8210 tractor, it would have plenty of pressure when you start which of course opened the valve, and that's where it stayed! I used to let it warm up for a few minutes and the switch it off, restarting would give good pressure again. Never did fix it as splitting the tractor in my front drive to get the sump of wasn't an option.
  15. That's the front lifting eye, theres another one at the back. You will need these when the performance of the NA engine starts to make you fall asleep. Well at least that's what happened to me with the previous 110
  16. Can you not claim that it is "not fit for any purpose other than that advertised"
  17. Well I prefer a 110 for towing, even though the 90 has better lock for parking etc. I just find the 110 more stable and comfortable at speed. So we all agree to disagree on wheelbase, but the best engine is definately a diesel. I used to tow with a petrol and it was hopeless compared to my 200Tdi.
  18. If the steering wheel went half a turn out and then went back to normal, I would think it's most likely one of the splined joints in the column. Had that once on a friends motor, not a LandRover, where the pinch bolt had been left loose. Whatever it is I wouldn't be driving it or letting anyone else drive it until I found out!
  19. I have done it in one go, but it looks very heavy and then you find it actually weighs about twice what you think it does !!!
  20. I did put a new sprocket on your chainsaw Baz, does that mean I can still borrow the log splitter?
  21. Where was the smoke coming from? Engine or exhaust?
  22. Rarely lend anything at all to anyone now, apart from the guys at work, but I can trust those two. There are others who are always welcome to borrow stuff and they know who they are, so if you aren't on the trusted list the answer is no!
  23. What about armoured limo's, what are our rulers going to do when the companies that make them have all vanished.
  24. You obviously didn't want the logs to dry out too much on the way back!!
