I've been ordering quite a few bits online recently, in the past I've stuck with paddocks for price, but sometimes had problems with orders been wrong. Also tried Craddocks they seem ok, but recently I wanted to get genuine stuff so I used rimmers can say they were very good service, quick delivery etc. even do price match. So who'd you use and why?

Paddocks are pretty hard to beat on price and their customer service is very good. I always get a phone call if there's a query on my order or they can't ship next day and then they always ship when they say they will. Only had one order go wrong with them when they missed a part during packing but they were quick to put it right. typical example, I ordered some bits on Sunday, most of it genuine parts that weren't in stock, phone call at 9.30 Monday morning to let me know the order wouldn't ship until Tuesday, dispatch confirmation email arrived this afternoon with a tracking number for delivery tomorrow.

Devon 4x4 - usually a bit high on price but, again, good customer service.

Maddison4x4 - my local specialist, hold a decent amount of stock and anything they don't have they can get fast and at a decent price so I can go and collect or get SWMBO to swing past on her way home from work. A quick phone call is pretty much all it takes.

After that it's the bay and then google for the part number and see what comes up.

I used to use Craddocks and still do for wheels/tyres but stopped using them for parts, mostly because they always sent the wrong parts and usually the parts arrived late. Final straw was when I ordered a head gasket on Tuesday for fitting at the weekend - arrived the following Monday, which was annoying enough, but they'd also folded the head gasket in half to fit in the box !

I mainly use paddocks, had no problems, price is always competitive. They do stock a lot of Britpart though, basically if there isn't a brand name listed on the website its probably Britpart so I tend to avoid it.

4Muddy Feet - website lists the part with prices by multiple manufactures so you can pay your money and take your choice. Good customer service and helpful on the phone.

land-rover-part-shop - These guys stock mainly AllMakes kit which seems to be ok? I've only used them once but they were also extremely helpful on the phone so I will definitely be back.

LRSeries and LRDirect. They give you control over whether you get **** in a blue box.

Yep I like that choice too, I've used lr series this weekend but I'm not sure I'm going to be too happy with the delivery time, though there's time yet.

I can share my experience with international orders since I am in Greece.

The best p&p price is Paddocks. I got 30 kg sent for 15 which is amazing price. Negative is no genuine parts as an option

Autopost is a nice place, not actually an organized e-shop, but I send an email with part nos and they are happy to send even minor items (2 bolts, 1 nut...etc.) they give you the option of cheapest & cr@p, cheap and ok, genuine and good....15 years of experience (orders were via fax in the beginning)

Lrseries is nice because you get a choice of genuine or ...part. I use them for general Defender parts. Very nice site

Rimmer I use mainly for V8 items. Nice site and good choice for parts.

Ebay for me is only for used parts. Not new since combined postage from a shop is much better than low price per item in ebay (postage kills me)

Another vote for BritCar here. Excellent service every time and you know what you get.

I do not use things supplied in blue boxes unless absolutely necessary so I generally don't use Paddocks but I have found them good the times I have ordered from them.

I have had the most awful experience with Rimmerbros - will never us them again.

I'm different. I support my local spares shops. Billinghan Autoparts and Sewells in Billingham. Both can generally get what I'm after if my Land Rover Dealer Stratstone doesnt have.

For fastenings I use Teeside Industrial fasteners.

I have used Land-Rover-Parts-Shop.co and have been pleased with their service.

I've used Paddocks a lot, they are generally very good, but did have one hiccup where they shipped using normal freight instead of express. However, I do find you can't be 100% sure you're not going to get something in a blue box. I know I've heard people on here say if you phone and order you can ask for no Britpart and they'll honour it.

I have also used JGS4x4 and Island-4x4 on occasion, and found them all to be as good as each other.

I recently used LRDirect who allow you to specify exactly who makes the part you're getting, and the service was equally as good as Paddocks in terms of payment processing, delivery etc.

If I do mail-order stuff I use LRSeries or Famous Four.

I have a lot of local Land Rover parts places that I use;

Shardlow 4x4

DLS

Paddock

Morleys

and also a very good breaker local to me.

I tend to buy fixings from a local shop called Shaftesbury Fixings.

I ordered some stuff from lr series on Sunday, emailed them tues to see if it had been sent, as I wanted to add something if not, anyway it hadn't. Anyway hope it's here for the weekend, ill be miffed if its not!

Well my items never came today, and just received a text saying it'll be Monday, even though I emailed them weds to check it'd be here for the weekend. Pretty poor I think especially considering they charge for postage.

I was going to use Paddocks as I need four trim clips, clips £1.21 each which is the going rate but expensive for a little piece of plastic, so total £4.84 Postage £5.00 or £10.00 if I wanted them first class!!!!

Going to get them from the main dealer as the same price and I get 15% off!!

Jason.
