    How did you manage with vehicle repair if not doing it yourself ? I kind of always thought that if I was in the wilds I’d need to be able to fix whatever went wrong .

    Has this thread got mixed up with the other one we had ? “The Christ what the hell is this” one? Or have I imagine that? i thought we had one to tempt each other to buy something else - and one to marvel at the fraud/hideousnouss/greed being displayed on eBay?

    I’ve just sent mine off - I sent the receipt, a photograph of the new engine number, and a covering letter. See what happens ! last time I changed an engine was before they introduced these and I just amended the V5 and got it sent back - I would expect those days are gone though now ..?

    I guess that’s why the car you’ve been offered is so cheap - in the balance it probably won’t turn out to be the bargain it looks by the time you’ve replaced the engine. If you install a different engine what will you have to do to navigate the electronics?

    On mine I can press my nail into the sides and flex it by holding both sides. Others I have I can’t deflect it or even mark it with my nail.

    A CO detector bought from China ? Seriously though - I must confess to never having thought of that, and I beat the vast majority of people who have fitted them haven’t either.
