remove a hinge to bulkhead and a hinge to door bolt and measure the length, they are as Les said M8x1.25, save yourself some money and pop into your local fastners place, always worth buying a new set of captive nuts for the bulkhead, they are really cheap and there will be at least one that you won't take alive!

Mike (mmgemini) has a fantastic tip of screwing ply to the bottom of the battery box cover, thereby making a spreader plate without taking up any space...

I got mine for my bike, it happily does all the land rover batteries I have tried, just takes from overnight or up to a week depending on how flat it is, depends how much of a rush you're in!

Hi
Invest in an optimate and leave it pluged in for a week or two, if its salvagable then the optimate will rescue it! amazon was the cheapest supplier

I have a galv brownchurch one and its excellent, although chuffing heavy! Don't ever buy anything that has that stupid plastic rislan (sp?) coating, they rust though quickly then you cant paint them without taking all the plastic off!
Mike
What brand is it? Have you removed and refitted it? the arm has to be on the cam or it wont pump, undo the unions and put your thumb over the inlet and pump the manual lever, if it sucks its fine! Defective lift pump can cause starvation probs
Mike
mine are for jump starting, the 175A ones are fine for this as its only a short term use, If its for long term ie winching then maybe the 350A one would be better...
Mike
the anderson plugs are opposites of each other ie theres no male or female, 'getconnectedplugs' on ebay is by far the cheapest place to get them, just buy a set of jump leads and cut one end off...
Mike
Mine went like that, you can drive it temporarily but it will be down on power and probably a bit smoky, I can recommend the turbo centre for price and service!
Mike
I was under the impression you were supposed to shim the front as required, I have always just put the same shims that came off back on, mine has different thicknesses each side aswell,

Avoid! Same guy conned my sister over buying a campervan, local police are very familiar with him but AFAIK nothings been done/can be done to stop him, except maybe with a large baseball bat...

Hi
They have instructions on the website, however most people on here (me included) would advise you to put it in the bin and fit a new OEM paper one, your engine will thank you!

In my experience the Clarke ones are rubbish, one actually caught fire, my wickes cheapies are still going strong 3 years later, IIRC they were 2 for £15 and I bought the 9" one for £20, it got drowned when my shed leaked but still worked fine!
