  1. Do you know we have a dedicated part number request forum?
  2. You could order a split tailgate or one piece door etc.
  3. LR wax the latest Puma's less than the 2007 ones. TBH apart from engine, drivetrain and some cockpit and panel differences / materials the vehicles are still very similar to all the earlier Defender models. There's a load of info on the forum already about their weak points corrosion wise and where to spray and squirt Waxoyl and similar products.
  4. It's got character - and a split tailgate to boot too. I'd clean, patch it up, stick a truck cab on it and keep it as standard as possible.
  5. We seem to get so many threads about various aspects of insurance I think it might be an idea to pull all the threads together or even start a dedicated section.
  6. I fitted an American firetruck airhorn to my last Defender, I think there's a post in the Tech Archive or somewhere about it.
  7. I dare say Land Rover have researched the target market sector but I somehow doubt if the sector in question has much representation here.
  8. My initial impression is that the bimbo just about sums up what the vehicle is about.
  9. It sort of reminds me of that bit in Only Fools & Horses where Del Boy is in a pub trying to act cool but falls sideways when someone raises the bar flap.
  10. Moved to the International. Let's keep the vehicle specific technical areas for vehicle specific technical queries
  11. Yes we do and this is where the ugly moderator steps in and says something about not letting the thread get too broad so that it runs way off topic
  12. I just can't imagine they would not be aware of the build change.
  13. Me too (plus Hammonds the main dealers in Halesworth) when needs be.
  14. So if I go into my Land Rover dealer to buy something for my Puma and the guy behind the counter presents me with stuff in Britpart packaging all is well with the world?
  15. The rules and reasoning behind them are clearly laid out in the appropriate section all you have to do is read them. If you have any further queries regarding the forum please contact a moderator by using the private message facility. This thread is now closed.
  16. Insurance is one of those questions that comes up again and again. A lot of people speak highly of NFU - I've been with them for years and only deal with my local branch. I would personally no longer insure with Flux, I had other vehicles with them but it was just too much hassle come renewal time.
  17. How long is a bit of string - meaning it all depends on how good a job you want? Material costs are fairly small so doing the preparation yourself will cut the cost considerably as will a cash in hand type job. DIY would obviously be much cheaper and not really that demanding.
  18. Posting a similar list here would be useful.
  19. Thread locked as I can't see that this adds anything to the forum whatsoever.
