So, big chip in my trucks windscreen has led to a crack from top to bottom, rimmer bros seem to be one of very few people that supply them, where would others source one, I don't need heated, oddly I have a brilliant heater!!
Got an issue with the rear bearing on my lt230, rear bearing is a bit loose, meaning the oil seal . . . Well, doesn't seal.
So. can I change the rear bearing without doing the rest of the box?? .
Quick idea, clamp the hose to the rear axle, just to isolate the rear brakes then try the pedal, if no change it's something further forward, you could even try clamping the front hoses in turn . .
But as above, I suspect mc!
I run 235 85's, on a 7 inch modular with zero offset, my front caliper hits the hub before the tyres rub the radius arms, and,the tyres don't stick out past the arches, ya can't get better than that, well, for me anyway. . . Steering lock is critical in rtvs!!
I would put good money on it being the xbrake, had mine off yesterday to fit new output shaft seal, refitted it, adjusted the brake to three clicks, and today it's rattling very annoyingly!
I only ask out of curiosity, as I'm in the process of swapping tyres off the standard rims onto mine, my truck is 1996, and I'm amazed that it had tube type rims, unless that may have been an option, my truck is ex National trust, and used to have HD bits from factory. . .
Just seems odd to me!
I'D fit a decent anti roll bar and air assist springs . . At least that way you can reduce the air pressure if you remove the camper, if you never will, then double springs is the way forward
