  1. So, big chip in my trucks windscreen has led to a crack from top to bottom, rimmer bros seem to be one of very few people that supply them, where would others source one, I don't need heated, oddly I have a brilliant heater!!
  2. Thankfully I have a decent garage with plenty of insulation :-)
  3. Excellent. . . Note to self . . Use search! Thanks
  4. Got an issue with the rear bearing on my lt230, rear bearing is a bit loose, meaning the oil seal . . . Well, doesn't seal. So. can I change the rear bearing without doing the rest of the box?? .
  5. Quick idea, clamp the hose to the rear axle, just to isolate the rear brakes then try the pedal, if no change it's something further forward, you could even try clamping the front hoses in turn . . But as above, I suspect mc!
  6. Having cured most of the noise, try removing the x brake caliper again!
  7. I run 235 85's, on a 7 inch modular with zero offset, my front caliper hits the hub before the tyres rub the radius arms, and,the tyres don't stick out past the arches, ya can't get better than that, well, for me anyway. . . Steering lock is critical in rtvs!!
  8. I would put good money on it being the xbrake, had mine off yesterday to fit new output shaft seal, refitted it, adjusted the brake to three clicks, and today it's rattling very annoyingly!
  9. I have a decent tmax compressor bolted in next to my battery, I can re seat a tyre and inflate to 30psi in under 5 mins . . :-)
  10. I would say that in 16 x 8 flavour both places are supplying wheels with zero offset, ignore the heading, look at the spec panel!
  11. Its easier to measure wheel / hub centre to wheel arch! Saves crawling underneath!
  12. Personally I would say front, so you have half a chance of steering!
  13. I don't think they're even welded, just poked through a hole if I recall correctly
  14. Its one of the wires that goes across the radiator core, best wriggle it out carefully. . .
  15. You can get a new door on eBay for far less than that!!!!!
  16. This is exactly why I made a Southdown snorkel into a heater snorkel, I now have a matching pair
  17. I drive like that all the time!! And, you'll struggle to brake against engine power in modern diesels, most cut fuel when brakes are applied.
  18. Forget 100% legit, its not even 1% legit unless you use the id of the donor vehicle!
  19. I used that firm, also without issues, one of very few people that can supply the offset I wanted!
  20. Fitting the prop flange isn't difficult, but you will lose oil, you could try putting the front of the truck on ramps it may help slightly
  21. I don't think side protection in an older standard 90exists, nothing solid outside of the chassis, by which time you'd be flat!
  22. I only ask out of curiosity, as I'm in the process of swapping tyres off the standard rims onto mine, my truck is 1996, and I'm amazed that it had tube type rims, unless that may have been an option, my truck is ex National trust, and used to have HD bits from factory. . . Just seems odd to me!
  23. I wonder if anyones ever cut an access hatch in the side of the seatbox for battery access!!
  24. I'D fit a decent anti roll bar and air assist springs . . At least that way you can reduce the air pressure if you remove the camper, if you never will, then double springs is the way forward
