The late D1 front wiper motor has been superseded by the D2 front wiper motor. To overcome the connector mis-match, Land Rover sell a link harness - YMQ104550 .

They are MQS connectors. I can supply you a pair of connectors with terminals and seals for you to crimp to your own cables (0.75mm² max.) - Land Rover - YPC116820 / YPC500360 Or, pre-crimped to 0.75mm² cables, with or without the glue-lined heatshrink butt crimps - (the connectors shown in this picture are a different type of the same series - I now make these harnesses with the type in the first picture) I sell these on eBay, but can do them cheaper direct - PM me if interested. A bit late to the party, but here's the Defender 2002MY rear wash and wipe wiring diagram modified to show the relay to convert the rear washer switch to a wash/wipe switch -

Looking at a clearer picture of the ARB solenoid connector - and a close-up of the connector - The connector looks like a Yazaki CN(A) 250 Series - These are compatible with the following connectors - Sumitomo 250 Series (Armlock type) - TE (AMP) Fastin/Faston 250 Series (Lance Type) - 172129-1 172130-1 172129-2 172130-2 The Yazaki connectors use terminals with a locking lance. The Sumitomo and TE connectors use terminals with a smooth underside - as the locking tab is part of the connector housing. Depending on where you're mounting this solenoid, I would suggest that you change this connector for a sealed type. The solenoid isn't drawing much current - so, a Superseal or Econoseal connector would suffice. .

You're correct I've looked more closely at Maverick 's picture, and now can see that it's a NAS lamp. This type do use the Packard Timer connector, which looks a lot like a JPT connector, but isn't interchangeable with them. The WS (White/Slate) wire goes from the 'W' terminal on the alternator (C0937), to the EGR ECU - You should be able to just add your tacho wire to the alternator's 'W' terminal (C0937) - .

That wiper in the eBay link is from a TDCi Defender. The wiring is different to Defenders made before 2002. But, it's not difficult to convert one to the other. .

That's a 13-way male Econoseal connector. First thing you have to do is remove the terminal lock (the Yellow plastic bit) - The terminal has no locking tab - With the terminal lock removed, you need to lift the connector housing's terminal retainer (tang) from above the terminal you want to release. It looks like this on a female housing - This animated cross-section shows what you are trying to achieve - There are special tools to do this - but, a safety pin works just as well. .

Is that the varistor fitted across the 10AS units central locking relay terminals? If so, yes - I have those. When you're ready, let me know by PM on here what connectors you want, and I'll do them cheaper than through eBay. Although your Defender already had the wiring for central locking, it may not have had the central locking version of the 10AS unit fitted. What is the part number of your 10AS unit? .

The later pattern standard lights (fitted from 300Tdi onwards), use Econoseal connectors. They are 2-pin on sidelights and indicators, 3-pin on stop/tail lamps. .
