  1. Heaterbox is fitted with 4 bolts against the bulkhead, passenger side. The heatermatrix can be replaced - likely to be not working too good if "oldisch" Many mods are around - including fitting 2 matrixes in the heaterbox - and basically your imagination is the limit.
  2. We have a Fluke clamp on Amp meter IF we want to know amps and have no idea what sort of amps we'll find.. I have a "thingie" that you put in the fuse holder, fit the original fuse in and it will show the amps in a small display. Cheap and works quite well when chasing currents.. Shunts etc. require good knowledge of electrics and getting it wrong can give interesting results. My "Minus40" fridge/freezer can show the drawn amps in the display. However, why is it you'd like to know this ?
  3. Easiest is to find yourself a Rover axle. However, weight wise you could have issues. Not sure how in the UK these days axles swops are regarded.. Bon Courage !
  4. Keep them coming - no worries about taking your time.
  5. I have found they all flake I ditched the plastic ones I had as they were rubbish - but that was long ago Fold them in next time...
  6. Looks very nice ! Would you mind sharing some pictures of the rest of the interior, please ?
  7. Hmm...... ".. The load mat for the floor slides in afterwards and can be simply removed for cleaning. You may need to trim the wheel arch sections depending on model and templates are supplied. .." so obviously some cutting was to be expected. Ues, some smell but it does get less with the cabin stuff.. Exmoor Trim sells the WOR systems and I have 3 of them that fit very well.. However, the loadbay stuff seems to require some (serious) cutting it seems but I do not see anything in the fitting instructions. In the picture some metal strips are used in the corners.. Give ET a call and see what they say.
  8. Good Work ! I'll be doing it to the Mrs. Ninety in a few years...
  9. Having a look at the engine in depth before starting considering alternative engines looks to me a sensible route.. Open the engine, if need be, and have a look. I replaced some pushrods over the years and engine damage was minimal so let's be positive. Apart from the handbrake, I have the 200 Tdi in the Series almost finished - need to finish some minor body mods - and the big question for me will be if the present standard diffs / gearbox ratio's will work for me. I am not too worried about the gearbox as it is a fully rebuild one and I used the well know Mazda with different gearboxes, abused the hell out of them and never broke them.. However, having in the workshop a rebuild 3.54 diff with a airlocker is tempting... But we'll see - once the handbrake is sorted and the last few other bits are done, I need to get an CT (French MOT) and drive the thing.
  10. That looks very promising ! Have fun brick laying..
  11. Ask Gwyn I have one of his mounts on a 200 Tdi in the Hybrid and very happy with both his product as his comms. The 300 Tdi is to get one for the 2nd alternator that will be fitted. Make sure that you have an extra earth when using the mount - makes a difference
  12. thanks ! local fabrication is not an option - that is here in France a serious issue.. I'll give the various people a call and see what they can do.
  13. As per title... I need for 2 vehicles a snorkel bent in a few directions. Standard ones will nor fit as they have cages and I'd like to have basically a pipe to take the standard mushroom top and go down into the engine bay where a short piece of rubber hose will connect it, if need be, to the airfilter. Want to stay away from welding pre made bents if possible. Suggestions anyone ?
  14. Good Morning, What engine, what fuel and some pics please.
  15. Goed Gedaan Daan ! Looks very promising - interesting to see how the final plate will look like.
