  1. I love the cordless hammer my mains operated one is a right pain if I forget the extension lead, and that manual chain saw could be useful when my cordless axe needs recharging.
  2. Exhaust is laid on top, pas pump has been bolted on after same as tow eye. If they are legit they will probably answer the right questions. wouldn't mind a new 110 chassis myself but that's to far for me.
  3. That looks nicely done. I like the web sites motto "The ONLY place for a coil spring is up Zebedee's arse" Although taking over the nürburgring with Defenders might be a good idea.
  4. They won't do it like that with plastic tanks.
  5. Hi Si is this the sort of thing you've used? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/170751959969?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649
  6. After reading topics on this on self build motor home websites even if its not registered as a motor home but is converted to one you can still mot as class iv. (testers discretion) Newer vans will not be classed as motor homes by the dvla any more the best you can get is "Van with windows" but you are still entitled to a class iv mot.
  7. Most modern radiators use the same make up, these claim an extra 15% cooling I don't know if they are any better than standard but I thought at that price they are better than second hand.
  8. I've been looking for one my self on ebay as my core is battered I found this one on Ebay that I may try http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/300700793454?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649
  9. A bit of a problem then.
  10. Can't you just try one or measure it?
  11. Many of the car magazines feature articles on cars that should have an IVA test but don't. I'm amazed that the dvla / vosa aren't following up on some of these that are blatantly avoiding the requirements .
  12. I've just bought the Wipac crystal lens's from Bearmach and a new pair of plastic bowls, I have to get a pair of bulbs yet. I am planning to use a pair of the Nightbreakers as recommended on here somewhere, the Wipac crystals have a set of blue side lamp bulbs supplied do these give a white light or blue? I shall also upgrade the supply cables whilst I'm changing them.
  13. If its not too big could you possible make a sand mold and recast it with a resin as welding or attaching a different material may cause a imbalance.
  14. Removing the tanks should be no problem, they should have non return valves on the inlets and solenoids on the outlets. you should be able to gently lower the tanks on a jack and disconnect the pipe work and cables with no real problems. You can leave them off with the rest of the system intact if you wish although removing the mixer on the inlet should help the engine breath. If its blowing a fuse try checking the solenoid supply cables are not earthing from being damaged as a start.
  15. Refills are available from most plumbing supplies I use Mapp gas (yellow bottles) it's a mix of propane & acetylene burns hotter than propane is also great for brazing and silver soldering.
  16. An extra 20mm on the width with an 85% aspect ration will not give you that much extra lift.
  17. Personally I wouldn't bother with Wickes, I would go to a local independent plumbing supplies and buy it from them. find out if its cheaper to use the push fit fittings or copper compression fittings and whether to use 3m lengths or buy a coil of pipe. Most are happy to help and can advise, and can supply outlets tees etc. and bushes to 1/4 bsp.
  18. You may also consider putting in a claim for future rises in your insurance premiums as this will also be affected as your are making a claim from an accident which is not your fault.
  19. That would work but you would have to place the ramps perfectly as you would have a long run onto them.
  20. I agree that people can contact you through ebay but if your advertising for sale through another medium autotrader. gumtree etc. potential buyers will need contact details or you have no chance of selling.
  21. How would a potential buyer contact you to arrange a viewing if you are unwilling to give out a phone number or address? Selling anything can be a hazard but not everyone is out to steal from you.
  22. I often use four, three foot lengths of 2" box section onto the ramps second rung this makes a shallower angle which is useful for cars with low ground clearance, and have spiked in front of the ramps with four inch nails into tarmac if the carpet is not working.
  23. You can get similar with 1/4 bsp threads and adapt to other sizes. Ideal for fuel lines for petrol, diesel, lpg. but why not just wire a switch into the stop solenoid on the fuel pump.
  24. Are they glass or polycarbonate? Milky inside or out? If it's poly outside you can polish them back up with wet & dry lots of soapy water then polish with T.cut.
